James Badge Dale Shares New Photo Walking with Son Who Turned 1 a Few Months Ago
James Badge Dale and his partner, actress Emily Wickersham celebrated the new year in 2021 as first-time parents after welcoming their son. Since announcing that they were expecting, the couple has taken to Instagram to share multiple pictures of their little boy, who is already reaching milestones.
On March 20, James shared a black-and-white picture of him and his son enjoying a stroll outdoors. While he gripped his son's hand, James captioned the post, which received nearly 2, 000 likes at the time of writing, "Teamwork makes dreamwork."
Among the multiple comments in the comments section, Emily wrote, "My favorite people in the entire world," while her mother shared, "Dreamwork." James and Emily took to Instagram to announce their son's birth on New Year's in 2021.
The former "NCIS" actress posted a picture of her and her newborn in the hospital and captioned it, "Welcome to the world, Cassius Wickersham Dale, born 12/30/21, just in time to join the party to ring in the New Year. You are more than @jamesbadgedale and I could ever have imagined. We are so in love with you."
James also shared a picture of himself cradling his son moments after he was born, and in the caption, he humorously wrote, "New Year's was WILD. Met up with my boy Cassius. Old soul, good dancer, smells great. Here's to keeping the party going in 2022 (sic)."
Emily's pregnancy announcement came in July 2021 when she shared a picture of herself standing sideways by the edge of a swimming pool in a black bikini which showed off her growing baby bump. "My mom taking a photo of a future mom with a baby boy on the way," she wrote.
The news of her pending bundle of joy came after the actress departed from "NCIS" in May 2021 after nearly a decade of playing Ellie Bishops. The actress told fans she was "hangin' [her] hat and jacket up"; however, Emily did not share the reason behind her exit from the show.
Her acting career has also seen her land roles in "Gone," "I Am Number Four," and "Remember Me." Emily was married to musician and domestic violence lawyer Blake Hanley for eight years before her relationship with James.
During his acting career, James shared the silver screen with Brad Pitt in "World War Z" in 2013, John Krasinski in "13 Hours" in 2016, and Leonardo DiCaprio and Matt Damon in "The Departed" in 2006.
