Renée Elise Goldsberry is a talented actress and singer who has captured the hearts of many with her mesmerizing performances on both stage and screen. She was born to an industrial psychologist mother and a chemist, physicist, and auto industry executive father, in California on January 2, 1971, but grew up in Texas and Michigan.
The actress graduated with a bachelor's degree in acting from Carnegie-Mellon University and earned her master's in vocal jazz performance at the University of Southern California.

Renée began her acting career in 1999 in three episodes of "Ally." She has since voiced for the "Star Trek: Away Team" video game and other series. She has also starred in movies and series, including "All About You," "Ally McBeal," "Sisters," "The Good Wife," and more.
One of the longest-running series she starred in was "One Life to Live," with over 250 episodes. The series also starred actors such as Krysten Ritter, Blair Underwood, Marcia Cross, Bryan Cranston, Erika Slezak, Ryan Phillippe, Michael Easton, Kelly McGillis, Kristen Alderson, Nathan Fillion, and more.

On stage, she has starred in several Broadway productions, including "The Color Purple," "Hamilton," "The Lion King," and more. Her performance in "Hamilton" earned her a Tony Award for Best Performance by a Featured Actress in a Musical.

Renee and Her Husband Celebrated 20 Years of Marriage
Renée has been married to Alexis for over two decades. In December 2020, she celebrated their 18th anniversary on Instagram with a picture of them together. In the caption, she wrote:
"I promise to always be faithful to this day! Happy Anniversary to my husband! 18 years in to forever..."
In November 2022, they had multiple reasons to celebrate. In the caption of her post, she remarked that they were celebrating 20 years of marriage, a birthday celebration for him, and more. They took a trip to the Four Seasons Resort in St Kitts & Nevis for their celebrations.
Renee and Her Husband Once Enjoyed a Date Night Chronicled in an Interview
Renée and Alexis sometimes go out on date nights. On one of their date nights in October 2015, their time out was documented as part of an interview. For the night, the couple went out with three other couples living close to them.
They all left their kids with babysitters so they could have a great night. Her manager had suggested a night out at the "Escape the Room" puzzle game center because the actress loves competition.
During the interview, as they arrived at the location, she revealed that she loved spending time with friends. She collaborated effectively with her husband on their task, and they all emerged victorious.

The Couple Shares Two Children
On May 5, 2009, Renée and Alexis welcomed their first child, a son, Benjamin Johnson. In 2014, they adopted their daughter, Brielle Johnson, from Africa. She was born on February 15, 2013. While speaking about parenting, the actress said:
"I wish, mainly, that I could have a job and work all the time and also not have to leave my kids. If there was a way to clone myself, and be at every parent-teacher meeting and be there to put my kids to bed every single night, and also star on Broadway, that's what I would do."
The actress never fails to celebrate her family, and on Christmas day in 2022, she sent love to her followers by posting a video consisting of pictures of her family. When Brielle turned ten in 2023, she also posted a video to celebrate the moment.
