Who Is Toby Jones' Wife Karen? His Longtime Partner Is Not an Actress

English actor Toby Jones and his wife, Karen Jones, a criminal defense lawyer, married in 2015 after being in a relationship for 25 years. The couple shares two daughters who think their father is not showbiz enough.

Karen, unlike her husband, has an ordinary day job as a criminal defense attorney. Due to the family's interests in a wide range of subjects, Toby described some of their activities during the Covid-19 lockdown, saying there was a point (pointing to rooms in a virtual doll's house):

"[W]here English Literature was going on in here. Theology was going on in here, drama was going on in her, and criminal law was going on in the basement."

Toby, who seems to have listened in on some of his wife's virtual cases during the pandemic, said he would hear terrible things — saying it while sporting a facial expression that showed his appreciation of his wife. In 2021, Karen and Toby resided with their two university-age daughters in south London.

The Couple Share Two Children

Although they only exchanged vows eight years ago, Toby and Karen had already experienced the joys of parenthood many years before. The couple shares two children, Madeline and Holly. There is only so much information about the children who seem to enjoy their lives out of the spotlight besides their father's fame.

Despite being relatively grown-up now, Madeline and Holly have not followed their father's footsteps into show business. They have been able to do what their father couldn't by staying out of acting.

Beginning in 2011, Toby has portrayed Dr. Arnim Zola in Marvel Cinematic Universe films, including "Captain America: The First Avenger" starring Chris Evans, Samuel L. Jackson, Sebastian Stan, and Tommy Lee Jones.

Even with all the experience and a well-respected name in show business, his daughters are not convinced of their father's celebrity status. Toby said they feel they should get more invitations to cool parties.

Toby doesn't seem like a character who worries about that. He said, "The whole joy of my job is the sheer variety. I am quite meticulous as a person. I often find myself preoccupied with detail."
