As far as he is concerned, Jamie Foxx's wife is his career. Despite a past six-year relationship and welcoming two kids, the actor revealed that while he contemplated getting married, the "cookie cutter" lifestyle wasn't for him and humorously shared that he is "married" to his profession.

Foxx revealed that the subject of marriage has hovered over his head for many years. Whether it was brought up during interviews or one of his daughters pressuring him to marry their mother, the "Ray" actor has openly spoken about why he has not made it down the aisle.

While he is a doting father to two girls, the star reportedly maintains a good relationship with the mothers of his children. Foxx was in a nearly decade-long relationship with a fellow Hollywood star and shared that he has watched marriages end around him and would rather avoid the trauma.

Jamie Foxx Answered Questions About Marriage Through the Years

In 2005, Oprah Winfrey interviewed Foxx and asked him if he ever thought about getting married. After the actor confirmed that the thought of marriage did cross his mind, the television personality further asked, "So you want to get married?" and Foxx answered:

"I said I think about it. That's very different from saying I want it."

In his 2021 memoir, "Act Like You Got Some Sense," Foxx also discussed his 2005 interview with Winfrey and humorously recalled redirecting the question back to her, grilling the former talk show host on her lack of a wedding ring.

Although he has been spotted around town at premieres and local hotspots like the Mondrian Hotel with female company such as Meagan Good and "Deal or No Deal" model Claudia Jordan. Foxx revealed that, as far as he is concerned, he is married— just not to a person. "I'm married to my work," he said.

All jokes aside, the "Django" actor revealed that while he contemplated getting married, the traditional "cookie cutter" lifestyle wasn't one that appealed to him. Foxx said, "The 2.5 children, the wood paneling on the station wagon, and the cottage, I didn't think that was for me."

The Mothers of Jamie Foxx's Kids Did Not Become His Wives

Although Foxx has chosen not to marry, the actor opened up about how it made his opinion about love less credible. He recalled taking his daughter and her high school sweetheart on a trip to Paris and how she had confronted him about never marrying and having two children with two different women after he tried to offer her relationship advice.

"Because she rarely came at me like that, I was devastated," Foxx wrote in his book. The actor— whose grandmother taught him to always remain a gentleman and care for his family even if he wasn't married - explained to her that while he isn't anyone's husband, he knows a thing or two about love.

After growing up and watching marriages collapse all around him, even in his adult years, Foxx chose not to marry to avoid that trauma and having it impact his family. While speaking about his friends' marriages that have ended, Foxx said:

"Unfortunately, we saw the kids get fractured from their families. Us, we actually came together more. So I don't know what that is, I just know that it is different, but it's a whole lot of love."

Jamie Foxx's Children and Their Mothers

Foxx became a father for the first time in 1994 when he welcomed his daughter, Corinne Foxx, with Connie Kline. Despite her daughter and her daughter's father's success, Kline has led a private life out of the spotlight, only spotted on rare occasions.

However, in 2016, in honor of Kline serving five years in the U.S. Air Force, her daughter took to Instagram to wish her "hero" a happy Veteran's Day on November 11. "Your strength, perseverance, and endurance inspires me every day (sic)," Corinne captioned the post in part.

In 2013, Corinne took a trip down memory lane and shared a throwback of her younger self in her mother's arms. "If I could even begin to explain how deep my love is for this woman," the caption partly reads.

According to reports, Foxx bought Connie a house and a Mercedes, and they get along well. "He looks after her well. They get on together, and they have an agreement. It is a mutual thing," a source said.

Foxx's second daughter, Annalise, was born on October 3, 2008, during his on-again-off-again romance with her mother, Kristin Grannis. The private couple kept their relationship a secret until her identity was revealed in 2017, and in 2018, they made a rare public appearance when they were seen on a lunch date.

In 2020, Foxx and Grannis sparked dating rumors again after they were spotted having dinner together. Although he never married the mothers of his daughters, that did not stop Foxx from having a close relationship with his girls. He said:

"It's amazing to see our kids grow up. We're so proud of them. They ended up being okay."

In September 2017, she strutted her stuff on the runway during a fashion show for Dolce and Cabana and was back on the runway in November 2017 for a show for Sheri Hill.
