British native Archie Panjabi will have marked 30 years in film and TV by 2023's end since debuting her onscreen career in 1993. She is recognized among the most gifted actors, and the awards to her name, including BAFTAs and an Emmy, can attest.

After several minor parts from 1993, Panjabi won her first major role in the 1999 comedy-drama "East Is East," playing Meena Khan. The critically acclaimed movie won a BAFTA for Best Film.

Her second major role, after brief appearances in shows like "In the Beginning" and "The Bill," and a voicing stint in "Ivor the Invincible," was in the 2002 romantic comedy "Bend It Like Beckham" (co-starring Keira Knightley).

Panjabi's career has soared ever since. Among her chiefly recognized performances is her portrayal of Kalinda Sharma in the highly praised mystery series "The Good Wife," opposite Matt Czuchry, Juliana Marguiles, and Chris Noth.

Archie Panjabi Sparked Romance Rumors with Her 'The Good Wife' Co-star Matt Czuchry

Panjabi and Czuchry, who played Cary Agos on "The Good Wife," were love interests on the show. Their onscreen chemistry was so compelling it led audiences to speculate about their relationship off-screen.

The former co-stars fueled dating rumors when they did a "sexy" photoshoot for CBS Watch Magazine in 2012. The pictures showed them posing intimately, suggestive of a passionate romance.

However, while some wished they were lovers in real life, with outlets even reporting that they'd been in a long-term relationship since before "The Good Wife" aired, Panjabi and Czuchry were only platonically close.

They developed a deep bond throughout their collaboration onscreen and stayed in contact after Panjabi left "The Good Wife" in 2015. Czuchry shed a bit of light on their dynamic in 2021, saying:

"She's one of my best friends. We've stayed in touch very closely. We talk about personal things [and] we talk about professional things. So, to have a friend like that is deeply special."

Archie Panjabi Is Married: All We Know About Her Husband, Rajesh Nihalani

Panjabi's husband is bespoke tailor Rajesh Nahalani, whom she married in 1998. Their union was an arranged marriage that Panjabi was initially resistant to, as she confessed, "At the time, it brought out my rebellious streak."

Panjabi was afraid her mother's taste in men differed from hers but soon learned the process wasn't as coercive as it is often misconceived. "This was my mother saying, 'I'm going to introduce you to so-and-so — if you don't like them, fair enough,'" she explained.

She and Nihalani, who was accused of theft in 2010, don't have any children. When asked about them in 2017, Panjabi said she wasn't sure if they were in the cards. At the time, she still felt like a child herself.

Archie Panjabi Is Very Protective over Her Personal Life

Panjabi rarely speaks of her husband or their relationship. Although she has an active social media presence, she has dedicated her social pages to work-related content. Nevertheless, her career continues to thrive.

Speaking on the characterization of Kalinda Sharma in "The Good Wife," the starlet said, "I love roles where I have to transform myself." Fans can expect to see her in the upcoming Apple TV series, "Hijack," alongside Idris Elba, the biographical drama "Under The Bridge," and a romance production titled "Fairytale."
