Jason Schwartzman Dated Famous Actresses - His Romances with Selma Blair and Zooey Deschanel

From what is known in the public sphere, Jason Schwartzman's dating history is not nearly as dense as that of his cousin Nicolas Cage, but he has made a good impression on two of Hollywood's striking brunettes.

At the beginning of their careers, Jason and Selma Blair dated for a few months between 2000 and 2001. They attended the MTV Movie Awards in June 2000 and held hands at the "Gone in 60 Seconds" and "The Replacements" premiers that year.

In a 2019 social media post, the actress did a low-key call back to their time together when she shared a snap he took when she filmed "A Guy Thing."

Shortly after her relationship with Jason ended, the "Cruel Intentions" actress was linked to musician Ahmet Zappa for four years, two of which they were married. Years later, one of her co-stars revealed he used to have a crush on her.

During the filming of "Legally Blonde," Selma's onscreen love interest, Matthew Davis, who portrayed Warner Huntington III, "absolutely loved and adored" her, calling her the funniest person on the set. He admitted in 2017:

That guy is Jason. The two actors are connected through another famous woman, Zooey Deschanel. Matthew and Zooey reportedly dated between 2000 and 2001, while Jason and the actress were together from 2003 to 2005.

Zooey told a woman's magazine that Jason was her "first real boyfriend" and that they had many overlapping interests. The pair split their professional time between musical projects and portraying quirky characters on screen.

Jason was the singer in Phantom Planet, and Zoey had a musical project, "If All the Stars Were Pretty Babies," and later, "She & Him."
