The most recent woman to play Wendell Pierce's wife on the small screen, Erika Woods, is his romantic partner off-camera. The lifelong bachelor has been linked to the former Wilhelmina model and actress for the past few years.

Onscreen father and husband to many, Wendell Pierce has played these roles with a realism that would shock viewers to know he is nearing his 60th year without ever getting married.

The actor has been a pivotal part of prestige television on HBO's "The Wire" and "Treme." He is James Greer in "Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan," and Captain Wagner in "The Good Wife" spinoff "Elsbeth."

Deadline announced in May 2023 that Pierce and Woods would portray Ishmael "Snaps" Henry and Stephanie Henry, a married couple, in the third season of "Power Book III: Raising Kanan."

The real-life couple has vacationed overseas and accompanied each other to various events, one of the earliest of which was the Gathering For Justice, Justice Ball in November 2015.

Woods was born in Texas on September 27, 1972, and raised in Kansas. On obtaining her MFA from Howard University, she signed with the Wilhelmina Modeling Agency in New York City. The 5 foot 6½ model has been in numerous national commercials.

The Howard University alum was the associate producer of "Santorini Blue" in 2013, in which she also portrayed Jessica. Her 2020 film "Don't Jump" won multiple awards.

Pierce could not RSVP yes to the royal wedding of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.

She was in five episodes of "Damage Control" and had guest starring parts on "The Blacklist, " "Blue Bloods," and "The Michael J. Fox Show."

"He was kind of born to play it," the classically trained actor's London co-director Marianne Elliott said of Pierce'a portrayal of Willy Loman in "Death of a Salesman."

Despite not having a family, Pierce could relate to Arthur Miller's depiction of a man who put his career above his family. "My disruption has been that personal aspect," he said, adding:

"So now I'm trying to learn the lesson of not being blind to what's there. That's what the lesson of this play will be for me."

Unlike some of his colleagues on "Suits" like Gabriel Macht, Gina Torres, Patrick J Adams, Abigail Spencer, Rick Hoffman, and Sarah Rafferty, Pierce could not RSVP yes to the royal wedding of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry in 2018.

Due to work commitments, the actress-tuned duchess' TV dad had to watch a live stream of the proceedings with the rest of the world.

Pierce admitted that the "beautiful wedding" had him shedding a tear. When he walked Markle down the aisle at her character's wedding on the show, they had a moment alone that he cherishes.

He acknowledged that her life is about to change. While Wendell Pierce does not have children, he said the absolute right thing a father would say, "If the fishbowl that you're in ever starts getting to you – you can call me."
