'Like a Cobra': What Angelina Jolie’s Working Staff & Others Have Allegedly Said about Her
- Angelina Jolie's humanitarian work is as famous as her acting career.
- However, some people claimed the actress isn't as good as she seems, even starting a malicious rumor about Jennifer Aniston to cover her back.
- One of her security guards said she and Brad Pitt are super protective of their children.
Besides being a great actress, producer, and director, Angelina Jolie also has a very kind heart. The star believes in charity, humanitarian, and philanthropic work like her efforts with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
The celebrity spent 20 years working with the organization. From 2001 until 2012, she was their Goodwill Ambassador, and from 2012 until 2022, she served as their Special Envoy handling over 60 missions while looking for ways to protect the rights and give safety to people worldwide.

The Academy Award-winning actress left her Special Envoy post in December 2022, looking to work on a broader spectrum, focusing on human rights issues. Speaking of her time working with the United Nations (UN), she said during a 2020 interview:
"I found myself a student at their feet."
The "Maleficent" star confessed to learning more about family, dignity, resilience, and survival from the refugees. She's also worked with other organizations like the Preventing Sexual Violence in Conflict Initiative, which she and former Foreign Secretary Lord William Hague founded in 2012, and War Child UK, to name a few.

Despite Jolie's excellent work and how much she's helped and cared for others, some people around her reported seeing a different side to her. They've claimed that what we see wasn't what they got.
What Some People Have Said about Angelina Jolie's Conduct
In 2009, author Ian Halperin released his book, "Brangelina: The Untold Story of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie," where he revealed that he had spoken to 900 sources to compile it. According to Halperin, his book was meant to give readers a "true picture" of Jolie and her ex-husband, Brad Pitt.

One of the revelations in the book painted the "Girl, Interrupted" star as being "controlling," that she wouldn't allow Pitt to leave their home alone. The author said the actress isn't evil but "manipulative, deceiving and cunning."
The celebrity was allegedly so bad that after falling for her Pitt, with whom she shares six children, on the set of "Mr. and Mrs. Smith," she leaked a story about his then-wife, Jennifer Aniston. Halperin's source said Jolie claimed Pitt's wife didn't want children and preferred focusing on her career.

The "Lara Croft" star allegedly made the story up to divert attention from her and to avoid the risk of being seen as a homewrecker. Pitt was reportedly upset when he heard what his new girlfriend said about his ex-wife and demanded she stop.
When Pitt and Jolie were a couple, they allegedly argued constantly about what clothes their children should wear, politics, and the former's alcohol and illegal substance abuse. Halperin said he spoke to Pitt's family members, who said they wished the couple would breakup because they were worried about his well-being and safety.

A limousine driver who drove the pair often saw them having arguments twice in the back seat. In 2007, the driver allegedly said he worried about Pitt's safety over Jolie's after witnessing her losing it and threatening him. He didn't believe anyone would want to be with her daily despite her sexiness, adding:
"She has a temper like a cobra."

Although some people painted the actress badly, her staff members had different views. Jolie is described as a doting parent and a generally good person by those who work closely with her daily.

In 2002, Jolie became a first-time parent when she adopted Maddox Chivan, now 21, from a Cambodian orphanage. The family grew again three years later with the addition of Zahara Marley, 18, from Ethiopia.

Pitt adopted the pair before their biological child Shiloh Nouvel, 17, was born in 2006. Pax Thien, 19, also joined the family from Vietnam, and in 2008, twins Knox Léon and Vivienne Marcheline, 15, completed their brood.
In a past interview, the "Wanted" actress said her children are "pretty great people" who affected each other significantly. Jolie explained how she isn't the head of the family and is honest and "very human" with her children.

The star also looked forward to helping them figure out who they are by developing their talents. In April 2019, a source claimed the actress's children are her life, and each day with them is an adventure.
He explained how they weren't stupid, but they would ask him weird things like how to go down to a particular bar or what they would need to get upon entry.
Jolie reportedly enjoyed how trying different things led to new ideas and life lessons. In February 2019, the children's grandfather, Jon Voight, proudly revealed how invested his daughter is as a mother and gave them love each second of the day.

In 2008, Pitt's ex-wife shared how she tried to raise her children to respect everyone and make worldwide friends. The "Salt" star wants her children to live globally, which is what is important to her and helped form them. That same year, she confessed that her children are "the center of [her] life."
In 2016, a veteran named Mark "Billy" Billingham, who had spent 27 years in the SAS, spoke about guarding Pitt and Jolie for 18 months as their head of security.

The army man said he became so close to the former couple's children that he saw himself as their "unofficial father." Billingham was trusted by the pair that he could take the children anywhere on his own, but other people couldn't be near the brood or touch them.
Speaking about the former couple, the former guard said he was worried about people attacking Pitt instead of Jolie because people loved her but hated him.

Something Billingham found surprising when working with the duo was how low their level of common sense was. He explained how they weren't stupid, but they would ask him weird things like how to go down to a particular bar or what they would need to get upon entry. The army man didn't blame them, knowing their behavior was influenced by the limitations of their celebrity status.
Billingham quit his post when his schedule took him away from his family too much. At one point, he had only been home to see his six children for six weeks in a span of 17 months. He was also shocked when he heard Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt after being together for 12 years.
