Lambert Wilson's Wife: The Actor Wanted Children with Only One Woman
Lambert Wilson has expressed candid views on romance and parenthood. The actor has also been open about the fluidity of his sexuality. He was once married in the late '80s and '90s and has been linked to a few actresses over the past two decades.
In a 2016 interview, Lambert Wilson spoke about his love life and sexuality. At the time, he revealed he was single and did quite well without romance. After what he described as a "frantic search for the ideal" person, he was ready to accept that he might never find them.
Still, he admitted that he often wondered how people navigated life as a couple, how they kept each other interested, "renewed desire," and maintained "the fascination." Wilson felt that he had "failed" in romance and was "fascinated" by those who succeeded.

Lambert Wilson on His Sexuality
In the same chat discussed above, Wilson explained the fluidity of his sexuality. When asked if he was equally attracted to men and women, he responded (as translated by Google), "I think, first and foremost, I am attracted to people."
Wilson added that actors are "essentially hybrid beings who have to be able to embody everything." Hence, their knowledge of the human experience is vast, with sexuality being only one detail among numerous others.
"What interests me is love with a capital A. That's what interests me. The detail of sex isn't very interesting. I've loved women; I've loved by men. That's a detail," Wilson, who reportedly came out as bisexual to French producer Marc-Olivier Fogiel, shared.

Lambert Wilson on Fatherhood: 'I'm Glad I'm Not a Father'
Speaking about the prospect of fatherhood in a 2021 chat, Wilson confessed he almost became a dad, but his desire to have kids wasn't strong enough. "I wanted to have children with just one woman, so that's it. These children happened, but without me," he shared.
Wilson never revealed this woman's identity. In late 2022, he'd come to a different conclusion regarding parenthood. "I'm glad I'm not a father. I would so hate to rush my children into this world which is in the process of being damaged!" he said during an interview that December.

Lambert Wilson's Wife: The Hollywood Star Was Married to Diane Lane
There is little information about Diane Lane's romance with Wilson before their marriage, but the former couple tied the knot in October 1988. They divorced in 1994, after which Lane moved on to marry Josh Brolin in 2004. They divorced in 2013, and Brolin remarried three years later.
Lane, a New York City native, is an award-winning actress who joined the film and TV industry as a teen in the late 1970s. She's renowned for her performances in 1983's "The Outsiders," 2002's "Unfaithful," with Richard Gere, and 2003's "Under the Tuscan Sun," opposite Sandra Oh and Kate Walsh.
Although Wilson said he was attracted to people regardless of gender identity, the actor has only been publicly linked to women. After his divorce from Lane, he briefly dated French actress Sophie Marceau in the 2000s. In 2018, he was romantically linked to Italian actress and former ballet dancer Camilla Ferranti.
