Sandra Bullock was devastated when she lost her longtime partner, Bryan Randall. Randall died on August 5, 2023, aged 57, after he battled privately with ALS for three years. He began his career as a model, but by the time of his death, he had turned to photography.
Bullock's and Randall's first meeting was in 2015 after he was hired as a photographer at the actress's son Louis's birthday. The couple's first encounter was five years after Bullock's messy divorce from Jesse James, a TV personality and entrepreneur.

The actress had no desire to remarry after her divorce from James. However, she reportedly exchanged vows with Randall at an intimate, non-official ceremony. And while the ceremony, which happened on the beach in the Bahamas in December 2017, was not legally binding and had no officiant, friends and family attended.
Three years after this event, Randall received his ALS diagnosis and eventually succumbed to the illness in 2023. He is survived by an adult daughter, Skylar, from a previous relationship.

Bullock, who has two adopted kids, son Louis,13, and daughter Laila, 11, is also very involved in her children's lives. As per a source, the actress stepped back from her career to be active at her kid's school and in their lives.
A spokesperson for the ALS Association said an extra $500,000 was raised from donors in honor of Randall, and their website received an increase of 100,000 new visitors.
The source added that Bullock volunteers as a chaperone and is invited to PTAs. Recently, Bullock was seen in public for the first time since Randall died. She was spotted in Beverly Hills driving with a dog on her lap on August 14, 2023.

The sighting came on the same day former NFL offensive lineman Michael Oher started legal proceedings in regards to the profits generated by the film "The Blind Side," which Bullock starred in.

What Is the Movie Scandal?
Oher has also alleged that the film "The Blind Side" was based on a lie because he wasn't really the adopted child of Sean and Leigh Anne Touhy, as is showcased in the movie. He filed a lawsuit alleging that his adoptive parents duped him and kept the profits of the 2009 film.
As per Oher, Sean and Leigh tricked him into signing a document that made them conservators, not his adoptive parents. This document allowed the two to legally profit off him and take the earnings of "The Blind Side" from Oher.

A source revealed that this claim has left Bullock "heartbroken" as she can't believe her Oscar-winning role as Leigh may have been based on a lie. Bullock believes the true story has now been tainted and hates that her hard work was used to create a false narrative.
The insider added that Bullock is trying to put on a strong front as this news comes after her emotional loss of Randall. However, Bullock got a reprieve after the death of Randall led to a 500 percent spike in ALS donations.

Another source said the actress was "grateful" for everyone who donated and happy that something as heartbreaking as the loss of Randall could lead to a positive thing for so many other people.

The family of Randall had asked people not to send flowers but to donate to the ALS association and Massachusetts General Hospital. A spokesperson for the ALS Association said an extra $500,000 was raised from donors in honor of Randall, and their website received an increase of 100,000 new visitors.
Bullock, who called Randall the love of her life, took care of him until his death. A source said she paused her Hollywood career to take care of him. The actress's sister, Gesine Bullock-Prado, also said Bullock was an amazing caregiver to Randall.
