Many will recognize Lili Reinhart as Betty Cooper from the mystery series, "Riverdale," but her personality couldn't be more different from that of her staple character. The actress's childhood began in Cleveland, Ohio, alongside two younger and older sisters.

She was born to doting parents, Amy Reinhart and Daniel Reinhart. She had no relatives who pursued careers in entertainment. Her mom was a healthcare worker, while her dad worked in sales. Despite this, Lili Reinhart's parents went the extra mile to help their daughter realize her passion.

Lili Reinhart's Dad Is a Sales Executive

Little about Lili's mother's career is known, but her dad has an online resume detailing his work experience. Daniel graduated with a degree in Business Admin from Baldwin Wallace College, where he played Varsity football.

He began working as a Branch Manager for Fastenal in 1990 before moving to CertainTeed Corporation and becoming a Retail Sales Manager in 1993. Four years later, he worked in that same position at National Starch and Chemical until 1999.

Between 1998 and 2011, he worked for GED Integrated Solutions, where he was named the Director of Sales in 2008. Finally, he moved to Salem Fabrication Technologies Group Inc., where he was appointed President of the Salem Fabrication Supplies division in 2020.

Lili Reinhart's Parents Will Celebrate 30 Years of Marital Bliss in 2023

Lili's parents tied the knot on October 27, 1990. When they celebrated their 27th wedding anniversary, the actress shared a photo from their special day. She wrote, "Happy anniversary to my mom and dad. 27 years strong and counting," concluding with a red heart emoji.

The lovebirds, who gave her French and German roots, are going strong, as Lili revealed in 2019. Daniel had texted her a photo he'd taken with Amy, saying, "Damn, she is soooo hot….. The love of my life." The Hollywood star was also close with her grandparents.

In March 2018, she shared that her Nana had passed. "I'm heartbroken. Speechless. All I can say right now is how loved she was by her entire family. We will miss her more than words can say," Lili lamented. Three years later, she unfortunately mourned the loss of her grandfather.

Lili Reinhart's Parents and Their Role in Her Career

Lili struggled with crippling anxiety that seemed to worsen in her adolescence. She had a few working stints — at a bakery and as a restaurant hostess — but they ended severe panic attacks within hours of her first shifts.

Even in school, she was a loner. However, her passion for performing was evident, and her family was supportive. When she was 16, they moved to North Carolina, where she finished school online.

By then, she had already expressed that she wanted to act, and her parents were more than happy to oblige, taking several hours-long drives for auditions. Lili said her mom and dad initially struggled to understand why her anxiety was so severe.

However, she learned that molding herself into character "was genuinely the only thing" that never aroused it. "This is kind of it. I don't have a backup plan here," she once said. Mental health has since become a topic close to Lili's heart.

The actress, who dated her co-star, Cole Sprouse, once called out celebrities, including Kim Kardashian, for undergoing extreme diets to fit into event ensembles. But besides addressing unhealthy Hollywood trends, she frequently expresses her gratitude for Amy and Daniel, who remain heartwarmingly affectionate toward her.
