Tom Bergeron's Children 'Regularly' Make Him Proud – One of Them Is in the Entertainment Industry

Longtime TV host Tom Bergeron is a proud father of two daughters, Jessica and Samantha Bergeron, with his wife, Lois Bergeron. Their children grew up relatively hidden from the spotlight.

Tom Bergeron has been in show business for many years. He is primarily recognized as host of the popular dance show "Dancing with the Stars" (DWTS). He joined DWTS in 2005 and left after 15 successful years.

The TV host enjoyed being on the show and cultivated heartwarming relationships with his colleagues. However, while his work made him happy, nothing brought him more joy than being a husband to his wife and a father to his daughters, Jessica and Samantha Bergeron.

Jessica Bergeron's Work on TV

In a sentimental January 2018 post, Tom shared an old memory with his Instagram followers. "A Monday Memory: my now 29-year-old daughter Jessica making her Boston TV debut at [five] months old," he penned.

The caption accompanied a screengrab of Tom holding little Jessica in his arms. Tom shared that her mom, Lois Bergeron, was also in the audience, and she was beaming. It was Jessica's first and only known TV appearance.

Although she later ventured into entertainment, she preferred working behind the scenes. Between 2010 and 2012, she was part of the Art Department for the comedy-crime series, "Castle," led by Stana Katic and Nathan Fillion.

Jessica served in the same department on another comedy series, "Trophy Wife," between 2013 and 2014, and again in "How to Get Away with Murder," from 2014 to 2016, though her work here is uncredited.

Jessica Bergeron's Quality Time With Her Dad

Little is known about Jessica's childhood, but her dad once shared a tiny glimpse in the 2022 Linda Sivertsen book, "Beautiful Writers." Jessica was about four when she and her family were leaving a restaurant, and a group of fans came to meet and greet Tom.

She turned to him and asked, "Daddy, does everybody have to watch your show?" Tom replied, "Honey, that's why we can afford to eat in a restaurant." As an adult, Jessica keeps a low profile, though she occasionally appears on her dad's socials.

In August 2023, Tom shared one of his "all-time favorite videos," which showed him and Jessica driving to the lake with his "granddogger," an adorable pup. The pair had taken the trip during the pandemic. They recently enjoyed lunch with Lois, Jessica's aunt, and her uncle.

Samantha Bergeron Lives Privately

Like Jessica, Samantha also keeps a low profile. Although she doesn't seem to have any social media accounts, she still appears on Tom's, as the father of two often celebrates her birthday with sweet Instagram tributes.

In October 2018, when she turned 28, he posted a childhood photo of her and Jessica, writing, "Happy 28th Birthday to my amazingly composed daughter (even back when your sister tried a Heimlich maneuver on you)."

There's not much else known about Samantha, but her dad once gushed about her and her sister, saying, "I feel very grateful to be their dad, and they make me proud pretty regularly."

Her parents celebrated 41 years of marital bliss in May 2023. In a tribute alongside an old wedding photo, Tom revealed that they spent their special day at a hospital as he was being treated for food poisoning and a bruised rib.

The former DWTS host said it was a long story, but he recovered. "Home & resting now & reminded again of how lucky I am that, 41 years ago, she said, 'I do,'" he wrote. On their 40th anniversary, Tom marveled at the milestone and how his wife, with whom he binges on Canadian TV, "STILL puts up" with him.
