After it was revealed that Nia Long's fiancé, Ima Udoka, had been unfaithful, reports emerged that the former NBA coach was allegedly having an affair with his Mormon co-worker, Kathleen Nimmo Lynch.

In 2022, the news broke that Nia Long's fiancé, Ima Udoka, had been suspended from his position as the coach of the NBA team, the Boston Celtics, after violating multiple of the basketball team's policies.

However, it was later revealed Ima Udoka's punishment was a result of an inappropriate relationship he reportedly had with Kathleen Nimmo Lynch. Actress Nia Long seemingly confirmed the news after putting Kathleen Nimmo Lynch on blast on social media.

In September 2022, The Boston Celtics announced that Udoka would be suspended for the duration of the 2022/2023 season for violating team policies.

However, sources close to the scandal revealed the real reason behind Udoka's suspension was that he was having an inappropriate and intimate relationship with a female member of the NBA team.

At first, the identity of Long's fiancé's mistress was kept under wraps. However, earlier this year, Lynch was identified as the female employee who allegedly had an intimate and inappropriate relationship with Udoka.

She and Udoka are "no longer together but remain fully committed to co-parenting their son [Kez]."

The original narrative was that the relationship was consensual. But once reports emerged that Long's fiancé had been making unwanted comments towards his female co-worker, an investigation ensued.

However, an insider with deep knowledge of the investigation revealed to DailyMail.com that the affair was "consensual, short-lived, and had ended by the time investigators got involved." The source added:

"'I know the whole story front and back. It's as basic as can get. All the acts were 100 percent consensual."

Lynch is a Mormon, married mother of three, and those close to her revealed the scandal has left her devastated and scared to show her face in public. "She can't even go to a grocery store," an insider revealed.

In the caption, the actress called out The Boston Celtics, as well as Lynch, seemingly confirming Lynch's intimate and inappropriate involvement with her fiancé. "Where was this level of awareness a year ago @celtics ??? #kathleenlynch," the caption read.

Four months after Lynch was accused of having an affair with the former Boston Celtics coach, she was photographed wearing her wedding and engagement rings while out with her children.

While it's unclear where Lynch stands with her partner, Nia Long's rep confirmed she and Udoka are "no longer together but remain fully committed to co-parenting their son [Kez]." A source said, "The situation is unfortunate and painful, but Nia is focusing on her children and rebuilding her life."
