Celine Dion is a phenomenal singer born to Adhémar Dion, a butcher and TV personality Thérèse Dion. The singer has 13 siblings, even though her dad didn't want to have kids. Celine's siblings are Denise, Clément, Claudette, Liette, Michel, Louise, Jacques, Daniel, Ghislaine, Linda, Manon, and twins Paul and Pauline.

Celine's siblings tried their hand at music and exposed her to live performance art. Michel revealed he was in a rock and roll band and would take Celine along when he attended gigs.

The singer recognized the effort and hard work her siblings put into the craft to be successful musicians. As much as they didn't achieve this dream, Celine said, "If I'm successful, I do it for them and for me."

Unfortunately, Celine lost one of her siblings, Daniel, who died of brain, throat, and tongue cancer. Daniel died just two days after the singer lost her husband, René Angélil, at 73, from lung cancer.

When Daniel died, a source revealed that Celine was close with all her siblings and took his death hard. As much as the singer was shocked by the loss of her brother and her husband, she said everything was perfect because "René escorted my brother."

Celine also shares a close bond with her sister, Claudette. Her sister is an actress, and the two are interested in music and motherhood. The sisters also have each other's back. Celine helped Claudette financially following a divorce. The divorce had forced Celine's older sister to turn to welfare.

Claudette's electricity was about to be cut when. Shortly afterward, Celine and René donated $100,000 to each of Celine's siblings at a family party. This gift changed Claudette's life as she paid off her mortgage and regained control of her finances.

Claudette has been having Celine's back ever since the singer announced in December 2022 that she had been diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome. Celine said in a video on Instagram that she had to cancel all her upcoming shows because the illness was affecting each part of her life, including walking and not allowing her to use her vocal cords the way she used to.

Claudette said in August 2023 that her sister was "a strong woman," doing everything she could to recover. She admitted that they knew little about the illness and couldn't do much to support or alleviate Celine's pain.

The "Because You Loved Me" singer is also cared for by her sister Linda and her husband. Claudette found it comforting that her sister had family taking care of her. "We love her for the person she is," she noted. Claudette added that her sister had spasms that she couldn't control but that they were hoping researchers would find a remedy for the illness soon.

A year after Celine shared her diagnosis with the world, Claudette has given another update. The recording artist said Celine had lost control of some of her mobility. "She works hard, but she can't control her muscles," Claudette revealed.

Claudette admitted that some people have lost hope of Celine getting better because researchers know little about the disease. Still, the singer's fans tell her they love her and pray for her. They also send messages, gifts, and crucifixes. Claudette continued, "What saddens me is that she's always been disciplined. She's always worked hard."

Celine's mom always told her that if she worked hard, she could succeed in her music career. Celine and her family dream that she returns on stage as much as she has lost control of her vocal cords. Now, all the singer, her family, and fans can hope for is that she is treated, gets well, and goes back to singing.
