The former child actor reached a significant turning point in his life that few anticipated. In 2012, he appeared in a video released by a church group based in Alabama, called The Forerunner 777, where he reflected on his newfound faith and how his career did not align with his religious beliefs.

The actor later said he was not proud of being on "Two and a Half Men" and encouraged people to stop watching the show. He expressed his desire to be disconnected from the show, saying, "Please stop watching it. Please stop filling your head with filth."

Therefore, while he was learning, he realized that he needed to separate himself from the show because it contradicted what he was discovering in the Bible. "I'm not okay with what I'm learning, what the Bible says, and being on that television show," he reiterated.

The actor, who joined the famous sitcom from its first season at only 10 years old, slowly started to fade out of the show in season 10. But he returned for the show’s finale in 2015.

However, after spending his college years in these organizations, he wanted to discover himself outside them. Jones explained, "Right now, I'm stepping away from the organizational business-model programs. I'm interested in seeing where I go without an organization putting a stamp of approval on if I’m good or bad or whatever."
