Caitlyn Jenner tugs at heartstrings while cradling her 7th grandchild in new photo
Baby William makes 7! Caitlyn Jenner’s oldest son Burt just made her a grandma once more and she couldn’t be happier.
“Welcome to the world William Behr Jenner,” said Caitlyn Jenner in an Instagram post, sharing photos of her latest grandson.
Baby William is cute as a button, captured in mid-yawn in the first photo while resting in grandma Caitlyn arms, and sporting a cool mohawk in the second one. The little one’s names could be a tribute to the Olympian, whose birth names are William Bruce Jenner.
Now officially known as Caitlyn Marie Jenner, the 69-year-old has six children who have seven kids in total. Burt Jenner, the dad to William, has another son, 2-year-old Bodhi, whom he shares with girlfriend Valerie Pitalo.
Burt’s younger sister, Cassandra Marino, has 3 children – Francesca, 10, Isabella, 7, and Luke, 2. Caitlyn’s other son, Brandon, has a 3-year-old daughter named Eva James. Stormi Webster, daughter to Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott, is the next-youngest grandchild. Brody, 35, and model Kendall, 23, don’t have children yet.
Though the “I Am Cait” star’s relationships with her biological children have gone through the wringer, she has managed to remain close with the Jenner clan. In a 2017 interview with Diane Sawyer, Jenner confessed how struggling with her gender identity caused her to be absent from the lives of her four older children.
The 1980s were a dark time for Jenner, she admitted, who was depressed and felt isolated as she started taking female hormones and contemplated transitioning to a woman. This period would continue for the next two decades and affected her first four kids greatly, to the extent that Jenner was not invited to daughter Cassandra’s wedding.
When Jenner finally told her children that she was transgender, they were very receptive. “The first thing I thought was just like, ‘It finally makes sense,’” Brody told Sawyer. “I just held his hand and I cried with him and I just told him how proud of him I was and how inspired I was,” divulged Cassandra.
Kendall and Kylie Jenner released a joint statement to ABC News, saying, “We love our dad very much he is an amazing father. We couldn’t ask for a better dad. He has the biggest heart and all we want for him is to be happy. If he’s happy, we’re happy.”
Kourtney, Kim, Khloé and Rob Kardashian - Jenner’s stepchildren whom he raised with his ex-wife Kris Jenner - took the news hard.
Kim was the most accepting, thanks to her husband, Kanye West. “They were talking about it,” Jenner shared with Sawyer. “And he says to Kim, ‘Look, I can be married to the most beautiful woman in the world, and I am. I can have the most beautiful little daughter in the world. I have that. But I’m nothing if I can’t be me … if I can’t be true to myself they don’t mean anything.”
Khloé took the longest time to come round. Jenner believes it is because the “Good American” creator had a hard time getting over her father’s death, and this felt like losing another parent. She was also dealing with the breakup of her marriage to NBA star Lamar Odom at the time.
When asked about her relationships with the Jenner and Kardashian children during WEtv’s “Real Love: Relationship Reality TV’s Past, Present & Future” panel discussion, Jenner revealed, “My relationship is good with them.” But she misses her children. “Everybody’s so busy,” Jenner admitted to the panel. “You wanna be with everyone every day because that’s what you did your entire life.”
This may explain the presence of 22-year –old Sophia Hutchins, who has been spotted several times with Jenner, making people believe that they are dating. They even attended Stormi’s over-the-top first birthday party, which was organized by proud mom Kylie.
While on “The Hidden Truth with Jim Breslo” Hutchins revealed that they were partners who lived together but were not in a romantic relationship. “They consider themselves business partners,” a source told People. “Sophia helps manage Caitlyn’s foundation and other business endeavors.”
Jenner’s younger grandchildren call her “Boom-Boom.” Maybe William will come up with his own moniker.
