Lamar Odom Talks Memory Loss & Other Repercussions from 2015 Overdose
Khloé Kardashian's ex-husband Lamar Odom talked about the repercussions of his overdose, and his new book, "Darkness to Light."
Three and a half years after his near-fatal overdose in a Nevada brothel, Lamar Odom has opened up about his recovery and his enduring regret over the dissolution of his marriage to Khloé Kardashian in his book, "Darkness To Light."
The basketball player's overdose left him with physical repercussions and enduring memory loss, but Odom is determined to make a full recovery.

LAMAR ODOM'S DEADLY PARTY
On October 10, 2015, Odom, who had been served divorce papers by his wife of 7 years, Khloé Kardashian, was partying at the Love Ranch, a Las Vegas brothel.
He had consumed cocaine, alcohol, and marijuana, and he went into convulsions. He was taken to Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas and put on life support.
LAMAR ODOM WAS AT DEATH'S DOOR
The athlete suffered 12 seizures, six strokes, and his heart stopped twice. His lungs collapsed and he was placed on life support.
Throughout his ordeal, Khloé, who withdrew her divorce petition while he was ill, was by his side, sleeping in hospital chairs.
“Khloé never left my side. She didn’t shower for days. Kim’s resiliency was incredible too. They put chairs together for her to sleep across at night,” Odom said.

Odom was transferred to a hospital in Los Angeles, where he stayed until January 2016, nearly three months after his overdose. Once he was out of danger, Khloé divorced him.

LAMAR ODOM IS MAKING A COMEBACK
Odom reveals that he is now drug-free, and grateful to be alive.
“[The overdose] made me realize I couldn’t live the way I’d been living.“Life is too good,” Odom said.
Odom is preparing to return to professional basketball in the BIG3, the 3x3 basketball league founded by rapper Ice Cube.

Odom admits that he was unfaithful to his ex-wife Khloé Kardashian throughout their marriage.
“I wish I could have been more of a man. It still bothers me to this day. But regret is something we have to learn to live with.”
Odom expressed his admiration and gratitude to Khloé for her forbearance and her unwavering and unconditional report after his overdose.
Khloé has not commented on Odom's book.
