The Duggars rose to fame with their hit reality show, "19 Kids & Counting." It started out as "18 Kids & Counting," but they had to change the name as the family grew.

However, it gets hard to keep track of the Duggars. Apart from Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar – and their 19 children – there are also spouses and grandchildren to consider.

THE DUGGAR PARENTS

The Duggar parents, Jim Bob and Michelle, rule their family with an iron fist. The couple tied the knot in 1984, and they weren't always as religious as they are today.

After suffering a miscarriage, Jim Bob and Michelle decided to have as many children as God blessed them with. They believed that Michelle miscarried due to the birth control she was using.

The couple was expecting their 20th child in 2011. They later announced that Michelle had miscarried and that they had named their unborn baby Jubilee Shalom.

ADULT DUGGAR CHILDREN

There are 19 Duggar children in total. The eldest son, Josh Duggar, was born in 1998 and is married to Anna Duggar (nee Keller.)

They share five children – Mackynzie Renee, Michael, Marcus, Meredith Grace, and Mason – and are expecting their sixth child.

Her brother John-David is married to Abbie Burnett. Like his sister Jana, John-David also strayed from tradition by not having children.

Jill, the second daughter, was born a year later in 1991. She is married to Derick Dillard and the couple shares two sons, Israel David, and Samuel Scott.

Jessa was born in 1992. She tied the knot with Ben Seewald in 1995; they are the proud parents of two sons, Spurgeon Elliot and Henry Wilberforce.

When "19 Kids & Counting" was canceled, the network offered the two eldest married Duggar woman – Jill and Jessa – the opportunity to appear in a spin-off titled "Counting On."

Jill left the show after her husband Derick made transphobic comments on Twitter about one of the network's other stars, Jazz Jennings.
