Miranda Lambert Posts Vacation Photo Taken with Brendan McLoughlin at Lake Tahoe

Country superstar Miranda Lambert and her new husband Brendan McLoughlin recently enjoyed a peaceful and fresh summer trip away from the heat of the city at Lake Tahoe in the Sierra Nevada, one of the most popular freshwater lakes in the country.

Lamber took to Instagram over the weekend to share a slideshow of three photos that show the beautiful scenery of the lake, a pic with some of her friends, and one where she poses with her muscular NYPD husband.

In the shot, Miranda donned her best summer look: a colorful swimsuit with a flower print, denim shorts, a red cap, and sunglasses. McLoughlin, on the other hand, enjoyed the sunshine and flaunted his toned figure going shirtless and only donning baby blue swimming shorts and sunglasses.

“Lake Tahoe...a great show and a few really cool days off! #lakelife #roadfamily,” Lambert captioned the post.

Fans of the 35-year-old singer took over her comment section to gush about the gorgeous couple and how happy they look.

One user wrote: “Looking so relaxed and happy! Still got that glow. #happinesslooksgoodonyou.”

And another added: “PSA: the mcloughlins are THE hottest couple ever!!”

Days before the couple’s trip, People revealed that McLoughlin, 28, took a leave of absence from the New York Police Department although the NYPD didn’t reveal his motives.

SURPRISE MARRIAGE

Last Valentine’s Day, Miranda took her fans by surprise when she announced not only that she was in a new relationship, but also that she got married in January.

“In honor of Valentine’s Day I wanted to share some news. I met the love of my life. And we got hitched! My heart is full. Thank you Brendan Mcloughlin for loving me for.... me. #theone,” she captioned an adorable post featuring photos of her wedding.

The couple first met in November while Miranda and her band, the Pistol Annies, performed on “Good Morning America” in New York.

At the time, McLoughlin, who has been working with the force since 2013, was assigned to patrol South Midtown Precinct, which includes Times Square, where the concert took place.

Since then, the pair have been splitting their time between Nashville and New York, but they make it work.

“We have the best of both worlds,” Lambert recently told Extra. “We spend time in New York, we get to see our adorable nugget [McLoughin’s 8-month-old son from a previous relationship], then we get to come back to the farm and have the quiet life. I’m enjoying the balance.”

SHARING THEIR STORY

Lambert, who will be embarking on her Roadside Bars & Pink Guitars Tour in September, recently told Rolling Stone magazine that fans would get to learn more from her relationship through the lyrics in her upcoming album.

“I think that everything in my life in the last year has weaved itself in,” she said. “Taking a break from the road. I have been spending time in New York, and I got married, and I’m happy, All that brought a really new phase and sound for Miranda Lambert.”

It is still unclear if McCouglhin will join his wife on tour.
