James Van Der Beek of 'Dawson's Creek' Fame Shares Photos with His 5 Kids & Gives Parenting Tips in Adorable Post
Actor James Van Der Beek took to Instagram recently to share delightful photographs of himself with his five children — Olivia, Joshua, Annabel, Emilia, and Gwendolyn.
James, who is most famous for his portrayal of Dawson Leery in the hit series "Dawson's Creek," also gave parenting tips in his post.
"Sometimes nervous fathers-to-be ask me for advice, and I try to be careful, because every kid is different, and so is every dad," he wrote.

James added, "But one thing that feels pretty universal... is the value in trying to be present, and treating each moment as an opportunity for connection."
In his post, the actor pointed out that spending time with your children is hugely significant.
James admitted that "No father is perfect," yet in the event that the connection is your objective, you can't generally mess up.

As of this writing, the post already amassed over 53,000 likes on the photo and video-sharing social networking service. A lot of fans also added their thoughts via comments.
One person wrote that James is such a wonderful father and that his children are very lucky. Another fan commented that the actor has such a positive outlook and a beautiful family.
In October 2019, James and Kimberly announced that they were expecting their sixth child.
James has been happily married to business consultant Kimberly Brook since 2010, as reported by People.
The actor, who is a fan of the Green Bay Packers, was previously married to actress Heather McComb from 2003 until their separation in April 2009.
James filed for divorce in the fall of that year, which was finalized and enforced in spring 2010.
In October 2019, James and Kimberly announced that they were expecting their sixth child. Unfortunately, in November 2019, it was revealed that Kimberly had suffered a miscarriage.
Meanwhile, as reported by Pop Culture, James's children are big fans of his "Dancing With the Stars" performances.
James was one of the celebrities competing in the 28th season of DWTS, according to The Oprah Magazine.
Paired with professional dancer Emma Slater, he was eliminated in the semi-finals, finishing in 5th place.
