TMZ: Steve Harvey's Stepdaughter Lori Charged in Hit-And-Run Case from Last October

Lori Harvey, the stepdaughter of comedian and TV host Steve Harvey, has been officially charged in the hit-and-run case from last year, TMZ reports. This comes as the model continues to fuel rumors that she's dating rapper Future.

Lori, 23, was involved in a hit-and-run last October but was fortunate no one was hurt. The incident resulted in an arrest, but even though Twitter users had a field day trending it with memes, nothing was heard of it again until now.

TMZ reported that, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office, Lori has been charged with one count of resisting/delaying/obstructing a peace officer and one count of hit and run resulting in property damage.

While both charges are misdemeanors, Lori – the biological daughter of Steve’s wife Marjorie and her second ex-husband Donnell Woods – is reportedly expected to be arraigned later this month.

In October, Lori slammed her Mercedes SUV into another vehicle in Beverly Hills. The impact was so great that it caused her G-Wagon to flip over on its side. Per PopCulture, there were witness reports at the time that the model was texting and driving.

The police arrived at the scene of the accident and found Lori soon after. Beverly Hills Police Department Sgt. James Keenaghan told CNN that she was given a misdemeanor hit-and-run citation for allegedly hitting a parked vehicle and then leaving the scene.

Lori’s crash came amid reports that she and her rumored boyfriend Sean "Diddy" Combs had broken up. While the alleged relationship was quite controversial because the model had reportedly once dated Diddy’s son, she has since moved on.

Lori and 36-year-old rapper Future have been fueling dating rumors. In December, Future shared a photo of Lori and captioned it "Flawless," and eagle-eyed fans dug up photo evidence that the duo was together on a trip to Nigeria.

Over the weekend, Lori seemed to make things official with an Instagram Story video of Future kissing her cheek during their fun-filled Jamaican vacation. "Life is good," she wrote on the video alongside a diamond emoji.

The possibility of Lori and Future dating has social media users in a frenzy because both have quite a colorful dating history. Steve's stepdaughter has been linked to soccer player Memphis Depay, Diddy, Trey Songz, and Diddy’s son Justin Combs.

Future, on the other hand, is a dad to five kids from five confirmed women, including his ex-fiancée Ciara. The rapper is also currently facing two paternity lawsuits accusing him of fathering two new children.
