Prince William Jokes on Why He Is Not Watching 'Tiger King'
On Thursday evening, Prince William took part in the Clap for Carers initiative in conjunction with the BBC’s fundraising show, “Big Night In.” In the clip, the royal revealed the hilarious reason he didn’t watch Netflix’s “Tiger King.”
For the weekly, Clap for Carers initiative, Prince William had a Zoom call with Stephen Fry. In the video, Fry reprised his role as Lord Melchett from the “Black Adder.”
During the hilarious interacting between William and Fry, the Duke of Cambridge confessed why he wasn’t watching the docuseries. More than 64 million households watch the show, according to reports.

WHY WILLIAM DOESN’T WATCH “TIGER KING”
At one point during their interaction, William asked Fry: "By the way have you seen anything good on TV? It's hell without ‘EastEnders.’" The comedian suggested the docuseries but the prince wasn’t pleased.
William jokingly responded: "I tend to avoid shows about royalty." The interaction between the royal and Fry was an interlude to 8.pm.’s Care for Cares initiative in the UK.
THE CLAP FOR CARERS INITIATIVE
People in the country have been showing their support for healthcare workers and other essential workers who face the novel coronavirus pandemic daily. Towards the end of their call, Fry informed William that he only had seconds to get ready for the initiative.
CLAPPING FOR THE CARERS
The prince jokingly replied: "Let me just see if I can find my socks... and my shoes... and my trousers." Next thing, the camera cut to Fry standing outside his home clapping before we saw the Cambridge family doing the same.
CAMBRIDGES TAKE PART IN INITIATIVE
William was joined by his wife, Duchess Kate, and their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. The footage also showed ordinary citizens taking part in the initiative across the country.
WHAT IS “TIGER KING” ABOUT
The comedy sketch was filmed for a special night of television organized by Comic Relief and Children in Need. “Tiger King” has become quite famous for its portrayal of wild animals, ex-felons, a presidential campaign, polygamy, a murder plot, and some very eccentric characters.
WHO’S THE STAR OF THE SHOW
The show focuses on Joseph Maldonado-Passage, also known as “Joe Exotic.” He is the owner of Oklahoma’s Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park.
