See Marlon Wayans' Most Recent Tribute to Late Mom Elvira on Her Birthday

Marlon Wayans of "Scary Movie" fame remembered his late mother Elvira on what would have been her birthday with a heartwarming throwback photo from when he was a baby.

In a heartbreaking Instagram post, "Scary Movie" actor Marlon Wayans paid tribute to his later mother Elvira. She would have celebrated her birthday on July 23.

The post featured a throwback photo of Wayans and his mother from when he was just a baby. She lovingly held him on her lap as she beamed at the camera.

HIS EMOTIONAL MESSAGE

Wayans was utterly heartbroken after his mother's death. Remembering his mother's loving soul, he penned an emotional message to caption the photo. He wrote:

"Everytime I seen [sic] this woman, I smiled. I see her in every woman... the greatness you all behold. The joy you can always share.

The actor thanked his mother for the pure love she showered him with her entire life and wished her a happy birthday. "Baby boy misses you," he concluded.

Wayans' mom was proud of all that he had achieved through hard work.

HIS EMOTIONAL MESSAGE

In a previous post, Wayans mourned the death of his mother by sharing a throwback photo of them from a few years ago. Sharing how much she meant to him in the caption, he wrote:

"Losing you shattered me into 1000 pieces. I’m putting myself back together piece by piece. You will always be my glue. Miss you."

Wayans and his mother shared a birthday. Elvira was a mother of 10 children including Shawn, Damon, and Keenen. She would have been 82 today.

Wayans is the youngest of his siblings. His family has produced a number of shows including "My Wife and Kids," "In Living Color," "The Wayans Bros.," "Hollywood Shuffle," "Gonna Git You Sucka," and "White Chicks."

The actor's most recent project was a biopic of Aretha Franklin named "Respect" which stars Jennifer Hudson. Wayans was impressed by his co-star's voice.

Wayans' mom was proud of all that he had achieved through hard work. He will always remember his mother as someone who had all the time and energy in the world to focus on loving each one of her children equally. May her departed soul rest in peace.
