Dwyane Wade & His Mom Share Special Moment during Private Sewing Session in Heartwarming Video

Taking to Instagram to share videos of their special moment, Dwayne Wade shared an inspirational post on his Instagram account, showing us a sneak peek of him and his mother Jolinda sewing in a private session. “He captioned his post,

“As a little boy, I dreamed of these moments. Private sewing lessons with my mom. It was her passion as a young kid, so I wanted to spend a minute in her world since mine has taken so much of our lives in the last 17 years."

The video shows the former NBA star and his mom quietly sewing in a room. The mother and son looked focused on their task while matching their outfits with facemasks.

The person recording them said, "this is different, this is perfect" while zooming in on Wade and his mom as they sewed. What a refreshing post for the former basketball star.

The 38-year-old seems to have a great bond with his mom, him stating that he spends more time with her shows it. Wade seems to be fond of his mom.

In August, Wade shared a happy post on Instagram of his mom conquering her fear of swimming. The 66-year-old had reportedly avoided the pool for 51 years. It’s fascinating that she beat her anxiety in the presence of her son since it was long before he was born.

Wade posted a sweet photo of his mom at a swim lesson. “My mother conquered her fear of swimming today," he wrote. "Watching her overcome this fear was so... inspiring. I am a proud son.”

On his Instagram story, he reportedly wrote, "You go girl!" with a picture of his mom while she held her hands victoriously above her head.

The athlete's post garnered 285,000 likes on Instagram. It appears Jolinda had more cheerleaders rooting for her behind the keyboard other than her son.

The post attracted swimming heavyweights, the likes of Michael Phelps who excitedly commented "YES!" and Olympic swimmer Simone Manuel who wrote, “Amazing.”

Celebrating his mother’s milestone, Wade is an inspiration as a family man. In an interview with ET in February, he reportedly shared that his son Zaya's self-acceptance journey helped him grow as an individual.

Wade stated that being able to adapt, learn, and make room for growth is essential. He further revealed that, at first, he was close-minded on a lot of things.

He openly shared that being able to travel the world and meet new people with his wife, Gabrielle Union, has allowed him to keep an open mind.

The dad of four married his gorgeous wife Union in August 2014. They share a daughter, Kaavia, whom they welcomed in November 2018.

Wade has been married to Union, his second wife, for six years. After divorcing his ex-wife in 2010, he started dating Union. They went through a hurdle in their relationship, leading to a break-up. During that break, he fathered another child but later reconciled with Union.
