Ida Darvish Shares 2 Kids with Josh Gad — What Is Known about the Olaf Actor's Family
Josh Gad and Ida Darvish, in their 12 years of marriage, have welcomed two daughters. They met while acting and have since shared some other projects.
Ida Darvish, 45, is an actress and producer, and the wife of Josh Gad, 39, producer, writer, and actor best known for lending his voice to the beloved character Olaf in the famous Disney films "Frozen" and "Frozen 2."
The couple met in 2004 while working on "All in the Timing" at a California theater. He was 23, and she was 29, and they had to play a married couple. Gad says he was delighted with her, and they have been together ever since.

Darvish and Gad were married in 2008, and in 2011, they welcomed their first daughter together: Ava Tanya Gad. A few years later, in 2014, their second daughter was born: Isabella Eve Gad.
Since that first production where they met and worked together, they have co-starred in several productions such as "She Wants Me" and "Big Guy," among others. The couple relishes every opportunity to work together.
IDA'S CAREER
Darvish has some notable roles on screen and as a voice actress. These credits include various characters in the Assassin's Creed video game franchise, in "The Mandalorian," and as Marta Alvarez in "Inferno."
Together with her husband, she runs a production company called Angry Child. Although there are not many photos of her with her daughters and husband online, as her Instagram account is private, Gad shares some adorable images.
PROUD FATHER
Gad does not hide that during his daughter Ava's first months, he was hardly present as a father because of his occupations. After the baby's birth, the couple moved from Los Angeles to New York for work commitments.
In an interview that Gad gave at the time, he commented that at first, it was difficult for him to adjust, but then things started to get better. He created routines for his favorite activities and organized his time to be with his family.
IN QUARANTINE
The Covid-19 pandemic has prevented many projects from unfolding as planned. However, it has also allowed families to spend time together due to social distancing and quarantine.
The Gad-Darvish family has been one of those who take the opportunity to share. The loving father of two has commented on his daily routine in various posts, including his bedtime ritual with his daughters.
ICONIC CHARACTER
If there is any character that Gad wishes to be remembered for, it is Olaf. The beloved snowman, who has stolen the hearts of children and adults, has been so successful that he inspired his own short film.
The actor is constantly aware of the character who gave him worldwide fame and is aware of how complicated the notoriety Olaf's voice gives him can be. Children today can access more information online, so it is easier to recognize the actors who play their beloved characters.
HURRICANE SUPPORT
Gad, along with the companions who play the main characters in "Frozen," participate in performances to encourage children, the elderly, or the sick. Both Gad and Kristen Bell are very good friends and have supported each other.
Bell, for example, helped Gad's parents living in Florida when Hurricane Irma struck in 2017. Bell proved an angel to Gad's parents, arranging accommodations for them when they were evacuated from their home.
BIG HEART
Gad only has words of thanks for his co-star and friend who took care of his parents in such a risky situation until they were out of danger. Besides her friend's parents, Bell was also visiting other people who were staying at the hotel to encourage them.
As for Gad's current projects, humor is always a part of his life, like when he brought home a large Olaf doll with a hula skirt and a guitar in his arms. The actor joked that his loving wife was ready to divorce him when she saw Olaf arrive.
MOVING ON WITH GRATITUDE
Gad's family seems to get a little tired of the charismatic character that has made this father and husband famous. However, with his usual sense of humor, the actor reminds his daughters that it is Olaf who pays the bills at home.
In addition to sharing with his family, the actor has a program on YouTube, where he gathers the cast of famous films. The series is called "Reunited Apart" and has reunited the cast of "Ghostbusters," "The Goonies," and "The Lord of the Rings."
