Mom Allows Her Baby Eat Wood, Rocks, and Dirt Because She Trusts Nature

A controversial mom has lit up a raging storm with what many deem questionable parenting techniques. Some feel strongly that her baby should be taken away from her.

A mother on TikTok who has labeled herself as @comingupfern released a number of videos about the alternative ways that she is taking care of and raising her newborn baby.

In one of these clips, the mom speaks about why she allows her little one to eat dirt, rocks, and sticks, explaining that she has complete confidence in the power of nature.

At the beginning of the video, the TikToker expresses her view that the mainstream medical industry has taken over globally. The passionate mother affirms:

"This did not happen by accident. It happened after...billion-dollar campaigns intended to shift the public's perspective on health."

The post so far has gathered an enormous amount of likes, piling up to just over 1.5 million. However, the comment section has been turned off, so viewers can not express their thoughts and opinions on the matter.

Nevertheless, other TikTok viewers have shared their viewpoints on many of the TikTok user's other videos. One clip includes overlay text explaining that she does not want other people to wash their hands before touching her baby.

The comment section of this video was divided. Many claimed that exposure to germs is good for the baby in that it will build its immune system up, making it stronger.

Others were not impressed at all. One asked if the mother had created the TikTok account as a joke, while another went as far as to express, suggesting someone should call Child Protective Services.

This notion that @comingupfern's newborn should maybe be taken away from her was not a far-fetched idea for YouTubers Mr. Beard and nickisnotgreen. In a video, nickisnotgreen says:

"My view on it is the sooner we can get the baby away from the lady, the better."

The two also listed several other alleged controversial health perspectives that this mom has. These viewpoints include refusing to use sunscreen on her baby, choosing not to get the COVID-19 vaccine, and only feeding her cat vegan food.

While @comingupfern was heavily criticized for her parenting methods, a different mother recently faced another kind of scorn.

While breastfeeding in a cafe, a man asked this mom to leave and nurse her child in a less public area. However, rather than condemning the mother, he was shamed by the majority of comments on a Reddit post when he shared the story.

One commenter expressed that he should have shown more empathy for the mother. If anyone wants the public's honest opinion, the online world is definitely the place to go.
