"James Bond" star Pierce Brosnan is a father of five. His children expressed they are blessed to be known as his offspring and that they do not take their status in Hollywood for granted.

Pierce Brosnan's youngest sons, Dylan and Paris Brosnan, whom he shares with his wife, Keely Shaye Smith, discussed Hollywood nepotism in an exclusive interview with E! News recently.

The Brosnan brothers accompanied their parents at the GQ Man of the Year event to celebrate their recent cover profile with their father.

Seeing the duo live in the limelight, they did not shy away from the thorny subject of nepotism involving Hollywood kids."I think we need just to be grateful for our blessings," Paris said in the interview.

Dylan, who is a model, an actor, and a singer, shared the "same" sentiments as his younger sibling about how fortunate they are to be in their position, adding:

"We have the best parents you could ask for."

Paris added the topic would always exist and that there was no way one could turn a blind eye to it. "At the end of the day, we're just grateful to be here," he emphasized.

Pierce Endured Hard Times That Made Him 'Value' His Loved Ones

As for their dad, he did not have the same privilege growing up, let alone have a father figure in his life. Pierce spoke candidly about his upbringing in July 2021 and revealed it helped shape him into the parent he is today. That experience made him embrace his loved ones even more:

"I cherish my family very much. I cherish being a father. I did not grow up with a father figure or with a solid family."

Pierce explained there was a lot of damage in his childhood. He isolated himself and became lonely as a result. "I had to get by my sensing and intuition," he said, adding:

“So, I value and love the family."

The Irish actor said he adores his wife, who is "the most amazing mother and woman." Pierce added he and Smith grew up together and had witnessed their life flourishing and growing.

Pierce Enjoys the Role of Being a Grandfather of 4

Not only is the movie star a doting dad of five – including only daughter Charlotte and sons Sean and Christopher Brosnan – and a loving husband, but he is also a happy grandfather.

Pierce has four grandchildren, including two oldest, Isabella and Lucas, and two youngest, Marley May and Jaxxon Elijah. He is a grandad to his eldest grandkids through his late daughter, who died of ovarian cancer in 2013.

His second oldest son Sean and his wife, Sanja Banic, share Marley and Jaxxon. Jaxxon is the newest addition to the Brosnan clan. Pierce announced the arrival of his fourth grandchild on November 12, 2022, on Instagram and congratulated his son and daughter-in-law for welcoming the youngest member of the family.

The film producer divulged in 2015 that he is a "proud grandfather." Pierce said he is still full of life and enjoys every moment because life is short.

"It can be snatched away without any prior warning, so why waste it? That's why I enjoy my wonderful, beautiful family, my children, and my grandchildren," the A-lister explained.
