Travis Kelce Has No Kids Yet - He Is the 'Absolute Best' Uncle to Nieces
Although they are not Travis Kelce's kids, the NFL star shares a close relationship with his two nieces, who he joked is more like him than their father. Not yet a dad, Travis Kelce's soft spot for children does not stop with his family but includes his teammate's bell.
After marrying his wife, Kylie, Travis's brother became a father to two little girls, making Travis an uncle. Although the Kansas City Chiefs tight end was in a long-term relationship, he has not welcomed any children of his own.
However, it gave him more time to spend with his nieces. Travis said it was "so cool" watching his family grow and for him to fall into the role of a "great uncle." However, he appeared to be in no rush to start a family when he revealed that he was enjoying life as a single man despite rumors of romance.
Travis Kelce Thinks His Nieces Love Him More than Their Dad
Travis's brother, Jason, and his wife are the parents of two daughters, Elliotte and Wyatt, and are expecting a third any day now. Although they faced off in the 2023 Super Bowl final, Jason's wife shared that the brothers had nothing but love for each other off the field.
"He is like the absolute best uncle you can imagine," Kylie said. During interviews, Travis praised Jaosn's parenting skills, and Jason revealed that Travis is an "incredible" uncle. Jason shared:
"I'll tell you what, my daughters might love him more than they love me. Their eyes light up every time they see uncle Trav... he's an incredible uncle."
In 2022, Travis and his brother launched their podcast, "New Heights," and Jason revealed that it brought the close brothers even closer. As two professional athletes, the Kelce brothers sometimes went months without speaking. However, their new project afforded them the chance to touch base weekly.
Travis Kelce Just Couldn't Say No to His Nieces' Requests
According to Travis's sister-in-law, his love for his nieces ran so deep that he could not turn down their demands. Whether they told him to jump up and down or spend time with them playing, Kylie revealed that she often had to remind Travis that he could say 'no' from time to time.
"And I'm like, 'Trav, you know you can tell Wyatt no?' He was like, 'Yeah, I don't think I can.' And so he will do it," Kylie said. Despite his raving reviews from his brother and sister-in-law, Travis had not convinced his teammate, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, about his skills with kids.
When Patrick was asked who he would allow babysitting his daughter, he listed a few players from the Kansas City Chiefs locker room and noted that he would most certainly not allow Travis to babysit. When asked how he felt about it, Travis humorously said:
"Who cares if we both need supervision? I don't care. I just want to be around the baby and have fun. I think I'll get plenty of hugs from baby Mahomes, I'm not upset at that."
Travis Kelce Is Currently Enjoying Life as a Single Man after an On-And-off Relationship
After his 5 year-on-again-off-again relationship came to an end, Travis revealed that he was enjoying life back on the market. Following his breakup, the NFL tight end was at the center of rumors that his previous relationship ended because he was "cheap."
However, Travis set the record straight during an interview in 2023 and shared that his relationship had not ended due to financial reasons.
Although he shared that he was a single man, Travis was rumored to be seeing presenter Zuri Hall after fans spotted her in the background of a video one of Travis's friends had posted.
Zuri was also seen at a Kansas City Chiefs football game, and fans claimed Zuri and Travis's ex had unfollowed each other on social media. However, neither Travis nor Zuri has confirmed nor denied romance rumors.
