Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were one of Hollywood's most iconic couples during their marriage. Together, they raised six children, three adopted and three biological: Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Vivienne, and Knox.

When Shiloh was a child, she identified as male, which drew even more attention to the already-world-famous child. Now that she is older, she has revealed about dating and drawn clear boundaries.

In 2008, Shiloh's father revealed to the world that she identified as a male and had asked her parents to call her John or Peter instead of Shiloh. She was only two then, but she had a firm conviction about her name.

Pitt admitted that they called Shiloh her preferred name because they thought it was cute, but thought other people might think it was obnoxious of Shiloh not to answer to her given name.

In 2010, Jolie talked about her daughter, saying she had "Montenegro style," which meant she liked to wear a suit and tie or tracksuits. Jolie joked:

"She likes to dress like a boy. She wants to be a boy. So we had to cut her hair. She likes to wear boys' everything. She thinks she's one of the brothers."

Jolie did not care much about what people had to say about Shiloh, whether it was complimentary or not. The family strongly believed that while the young girl had clothing and hairstyle preferences, it did not change who she was.

Shiloh's mother believes she is funny, intelligent, and kind. The actress said there is much more to her daughter than the clothes she chooses to wear or the way she likes her hair to be done.

Jolie does not care how her children appear on the outside but is more concerned with whether or not they are kind, soft, and able to protect their inner power from a world that will try to break it down.

Her mother has approved of her plans to begin romantic relationships but says that she must approve of the person Shiloh chooses; otherwise, they will not be allowed to continue the relationship.

While her dating plans have been approved by her mother, Shiloh has received criticism about her hair as a young woman. Shiloh was seen out running errands recently with a buzz cut.

Pictures of Shiloh and her sister, Zahara, running errands were shared on social media, and the sisters looked happy, and like they were having fun. However, fans were less than impressed by Shiloh's appearance.

One said that Shiloh was born a girl but had been dressed in boy's clothes from a young age and never had long hair. The commenter said they doubted she could have made these decisions at such a young age.

The user said they believed Jolie wanted Shiloh to be a boy and impressed those ideas upon her. Although the commenter found nothing wrong with Shiloh wanting that, they thought she should have been given a choice as a toddler.

Another commenter gave Shiloh's look a thumbs down and said she looked much better in a more feminine look. One thought Shiloh would have mental issues after going through changes between feminine and masculine dressing.

Some users didn’t enjoy the fact that Shiloh appeared as a male, saying:

“So sad such a beautiful girl is going boy again."

One commenter thought that Shiloh shaved her head oer Jolie's rules and said that the young woman had been "born into crazy" rather than her deciding to cut her hair on her own.

Jolie has always been a champion of women's rights in Iran. Iranian women face intense discrimination in their own country, and Jolie has been campaigning for them to be treated more fairly for quite some time.

She has taken part in a myriad of charity events for the cause, and most recently, she involved her daughters Zahara and Shiloh, too. The new campaign began on February 20, 2023.

In the campaign, women worldwide shave their heads in solidarity with Iranian women. Jolie said her entire family participated in the efforts, implying that Vivienne was also involved.

Jolie shared an Instagram video that showed locks of hair in Ziploc bags with names on them and then women's hair being cut and then enveloped to be sent to the Strand for Women foundation so it could be featured in an exhibit supporting Iranian women.

The actress then shared photos of both her daughter's heads and pictures of their locks of hair, ready to be sent to the foundation. She ended the post with an image explaining the significance of the exhibition.

For this, and many other reasons, Jolie is incredibly proud of the young woman Shiloh is becoming. Talking about her daughter, Jolie gushed:

"I think she is fascinating, the choices she is making. And I would never be the kind of person to force somebody to be something they are not. I think that is just bad parenting.”

Jolie allows her children to be themselves and express themselves in whichever way they choose. She also believes they should never be judged by society for their choices because it is part of their growth.
