On October 2, 2018, Kate Hudson welcomed a daughter named Rani Rose Hudson Fujikawa. The little one was the third of the actress's children, following her older brothers, Ryder Robinson and Bingham Bellamy.

Hudson shared that her pregnancy with her daughter differed from her first two. She was frequently sick, which left her bedridden and less active than she would have liked. About two months postpartum, however, the Hollywood star was ready to get back in shape.

She had gotten familiar with her new routine with her newborn daughter and felt ready to schedule personal time. "For me, that means my health. Why? Because I wanna be around a long time for these three kiddos of mine," she shared.

Hudson said she was "looking to shed 25 pounds." Not long after this announcement, she was named a WW (formerly Weight Watchers) ambassador and began using the fitness brand's Freestyle program, which helped her keep track of what she ate.

Kate Hudson's Eating Habits and Workouts

Hudson has expressed how much she enjoys challenging her body and being disciplined. She exercises regularly, fitting workouts three to four times a week. Her routines vary between pilates, bike riding, full-body workouts at home, and dancing.

The "Almost Famous" star even has a pole installed in her home and enjoys doing yoga. In addition to staying physically active, Hudson is conscious of her eating habits. In September 2020, she broke down what she ate in a day, sharing that she didn't eat first thing in the morning.

Instead, she woke up with celery juice. Once breakfast time rolls around, she usually has hard-boiled eggs with butter and avocado spread on sourdough bread, garnished with olive oil and sea salt. On other mornings, she'll have oatmeal with banana, blueberries, maple syrup, and chia seeds.

For lunch, it can be a chopped salad or a protein-based smoothie. For dinner, the TV star loves nutmeg chicken, sweetcorn pasta, chicken and dumplings, and more. She usually sits down for supper with her kids between 5:30 and 6 p.m.

Kate Hudson's Fitness Struggles

After focusing intensely on returning to her "fighting weight," Hudson reached her goal and lost over 10 kgs (approximately 25 pounds). However, despite looking quite well and in shape, the actress has admitted to her eating habits sometimes slipping and regaining the weight she lost.

In any case, she bounces back with the help of experienced trainers. And no matter the weight, she still stuns in gorgeous ensembles at public events like the "Glass Onion" premiere in late 2022. Hudson starred in the film opposite Daniel Craig, Madelyn Cline, Edward Norton, and Janelle Monae.
