In honor of her birthday, fans showered Cobie Smulders with celebratory messages, to which she "sent that love right back." The actress shares the same birthday week with her husband, whom she met over ten years ago, and admitted she's amazed they're still together after all this time.

On April 3, Smulders took to Instagram to celebrate her 41st birthday with a throwback picture of herself with a short fringe and denim overalls. "I wish she knew how much birthday love she would receive one day. Would have made her feel real cool. Thanks for the wishes, everyone. Sending that love right back," (sic) she captioned the post.

On March 27, the "How I Met Your Mother" actress shared a picture of her and her husband of over ten years, Taran Killam, and revealed that he was the only person she wanted to share her birthday week with. A few days later, on April 1, she took a trip down memory lane and celebrated Killam turning the big 4-0 with a photo of him from when he was a little boy. She captioned the post, "This guy is now 40. He is the greatest. Happy birthday, @tarzannoz."

Smulders met her husband when they were both 22 and attended the 30th birthday party of a mutual friend. They got along really well and were engaged by 2008. However, they only tied the knot in September 2012, after welcoming their first child. They have since welcomed their second. Their special day took place at the Alisal Guest Ranch and Resort in Solvang, California, and while speaking about her marriage, Smulders said:

"I'm a lucky lady. This magic happened 14 years ago. We've been together since we were 22 years young. We were babies, and we survived our 20s together—I don't know how that's possible, but we did. It's crazy."

Killam has made a name for himself as a comedian on "Saturday Night Live" while his wife, originally from Vancouver, started her career as a model. Smulders began modeling as a teenager and continued modeling internationally throughout high school until landing auditions for films and TV shows.

She is commonly known for co-starring in "How I Met Your Mother" and can be seen in Marvel's upcoming film, "Secret Invasion." The mini-series, where Smulders plays Maria Hill and co-stars alongside Samuel L. Jackson, Olivia Colman, and Emilia Clarke, is set to release in June.
