Andy Garcia, who rose to prominence after his performance in "The Untouchables" alongside Sean Connery, Kevin Costner, and Robert De Niro, has seen all his children appear in at least one film. However, not all of them pursued a career in acting.

It has been an incredible last couple of years for Andy and Marivi as they got their first grandchild in October 2021 before their two oldest kids had weddings about a month apart in 2022. With Andy's kids following in his footsteps in the entertainment industry, he is creating a great dynasty.

Andy Garcia Knows That Children Absorb Everything from Their Parents

Andy and Marivi tied the knot on September 24, 1982, and in their over 40 years of marriage, the couple welcomed four children. These are Dominik Garcia, Daniella Garcia, Alessandra Garcia-Lorido and Andrés Garcia-Lorido.

Andy credits his father, René García Núñez, for the way he conducts his parental duties. His father was a distinguished attorney in pre-revolutionary Havana, Cuba before the family migrated to Miami when Andy was still young. René went on to establish a fruitful fragrance business. Speaking about his father, Garcia said:

"My dad was someone who could defend his family and friends at all costs. I am a product of the bravery of people like him and my mother, people who had everything taken from them and had to make their way in a completely new world."

Garcia added that his parents taught him that living by your word is a fundamental element of raising children. He says kids absorb many things they are exposed to, be they good or bad. Sometimes a parent can impart all the values they wish, but if you don't walk the talk, your kids will hardly learn the values you want.

Andy's children have also shown an interest in following their father's footsteps into the film industry. According to People, when "Steal Big Steal Little" director Andy Davis was looking for a 12-year-old to play the daughter of Andy Garcia's character in the film, he didn't have to search too far. He found that actress in Andy's then-12-year-old, Dominik.

That was one of many times the two would work together on a movie. Dominik played Andy's sister-in-law while Andres played her son in "The Lost City," released in 2005. The family affair surrounding the film did not end, as Daniella was also featured in the movie, which starred Bill Murray and Dustin Hoffman.

Dominik Garcia Got into Her First Film by Accident

Dominik is the eldest child of Andy and Marivi. She showed a passion for the entertainment industry from an early age, having reportedly begun dancing at the tender age of three.

Her appearance in "Steal Big Steal Little" in 1995 was her debut on the big screen. It took another nine years before she made her second appearance after being cast as Reagan in 2004's "Last Goodbye." Since then, the actress has been credited with 14 more acting roles in film and television.

Perhaps her most significant contribution was her portrayal of Mercedes Lazaro in 15 episodes of the crime drama series, "Magic City." The show was headlined by Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who made a name as Negan on "The Walking Dead." Additionally, she has appeared on talk shows, including "The Wendy Williams Show."

During a 2010 interview, Dominik's father, Andy, talked about his daughter's performance in the 2009 film, "City Island" in which they were both involved. The used-to-be strict father said she did a good job but showed some skepticism about one scene where she had to pole dance as part of her character's job as a stripper.

Although Andy said there was nothing awkward about the scene, the film's director, Raymond De Felitta, recalled that the actor had told him he didn't want to be around while shooting those scenes. Andy conceded that his daughter was a long way from stripping, and if she had been asked to undress, she might not have done it.

Dominik tied the knot with Michael Doneger in 2022 in a wedding ceremony filled with dancing and plenty of enjoyment, as seen in the wedding pictures. Doneger is a director and writer whose most notable projects include "Shelly" and "The Escort" from 2015 and "Fate of a Sport" from 2022.

Daniella Garcia Gave Her Father His First Grandchild

Daniella is Andy and Marivi's second-born child. The family welcomed their fourth member on January 3, 1988, in Los Angeles, California. Like her father and older sibling, she is also involved in the film industry. Before appearing alongside them in "The Lost City," she had debuted in "Just the Ticket" in 1998.

Most of her 12 credited actress roles were in films, with only three television series appearances, including seven episodes of "Rebel" in 2021. Perhaps the most popular film she has been in is the 2017 sci-fi thriller, "Geostorm," starring Gerard Butler.

On a personal note, 2022 was an excellent year for the Garcia family as, like Dominik, Daniella also walked down the aisle that same year. She married Stephen Borello, an actor, and the pair appeared alongside each other in 2013 on "At Middleton." The couple welcomed their daughter and Andy's first grandchild in 2021.

Speaking on "Jimmy Kimmel Live," Andy revealed that his daughters were getting married about a month apart from each other's big days, and he felt that it was a massive blessing for that to happen to him. He added that both his son-in-laws had done the traditional thing and asked him for his daughters' hands in marriage.

Alessandra Garcia-Lorido Is a Model

Alessandra Garcia-Lorido was born in Los Angeles, California, on June 20, 1991. She is the third daughter of Andy and Marivi. Like many of her family members, she is also involved in showbiz. However, she went on a somewhat different route.

After appearing in two films, "Just the Ticket" and "The Lost City," she discontinued her acting career and began pursuing a career in modeling. Although she did not have the traditional model figure, she benefited from the changing tide in the fashion industry as plus-sized models began to take center stage.

In 2016, the then-25-year-old model walked in Christian Soriano's path-breaking New York Fashion Week display. At that point, Alessandra had already been photographed for prestigious publications such as Vogue Italia and Vanity Fair Mexico. Additionally, she was signed to top agencies like IMG New York and d'management Milan.

Alessandra actively maintains her own Instagram page, where she regularly shares photos. The model boasts over 100k followers, reportedly including her fellow Los Angeles native, Dakota Fanning, with whom she used to post regularly.

Andrés Garcia-Lorido Devoted Himself to Music

Marivi and Andy Garcia welcomed their youngest child and first son, Andrés, in 2002 in Los Angeles, California. He appeared alongside his father and siblings in one film, "The Lost City." In the movie, he plays his oldest sister's son.

While watching Tiger Woods play, his father told a young Andrés, "You've got to practice to be good at anything." Despite his dreams of becoming an actor when he was young, he did not pursue a career in the industry. Instead, he followed in his father's other major talent and went into music.

Currently, Andrés makes his living as a DJ who does live events in various places, including Los Angeles and Miami, two cities where his family usually resides. He also has music on Spotify, including "Hey Girl" featuring Grumpy Monkey.

Andrés performs under the pseudonym Mr. Bones and is a house or Disco DJ. On February 3, he was scheduled to perform at the Season Opening Party: BOMBAYS at The Fox Hollywood. The show also included several other DJs.
