Justine Mercedes Kaestner-Varnado built her career as a professional wrestler and actress. In the ring, she is known as Sasha Banks or Mercedes Monè, depending on the program she is on.

Since her acting debut in "The Mandalorian" Season 2 and joining the WWE women's wrestling, Banks' fan base has grown exponentially. However, only some know she has a husband, Sarath Ton, who supports her career.

Ton's wife, considered one of the greatest female wrestlers in history, rarely talks about her relationship and personal life. Still, there are known facts about her husband as he once was in the entertainment industry.

Sarath Ton Is an Ex-wrestler and Is Now a Costume Designer

Born June 9, 1983, Sarath Ton enjoyed being in the same ring his wife wrestled in. He is a former professional wrestler who debuted in 2002 in Premiere Westling Foundation Northeast as Kid Mikaze.

Ton joined different wrestling arenas as his career progressed, including the New England Frontier Wrestling, Chaotic Wrestling, Top Rope Promotions, and Connecticut Wrestling Entertainment.

In 2012, he changed his ring name to Rutherford Hayes when he joined WWE's "Monday Night Raw." He is also known for "TNA One Night Only" and "Beyond Off the Grid: Live Event."

Like his wife, Ton had a successful wrestling career. His distinct fighting style, which combined wrestling and martial arts, allowed him to stand out amongst other wrestlers. His legacy in the industry is "The Perfect Weapon," his rendition of the reverse shooting star press.

Unfortunately, Ton's career as a wrestler ended in 2015 after a match against the Vaudevillians severely injured him. The head trauma even knocked him unconscious.

Although he is no longer wrestling, Ton still works in the same industry as a costume designer. He curates the best suits for wrestlers and shares some of his creations on his Instagram account. Earlier this year, he designed a black, purple, and silver suit for Finn Balor, which matched the wrestler's color scheme.

He also had gear made for Logan Paul and Seth Rollins, while other parts of their costumes were sourced from other places. Among his other designs are a pair of shorts for Rhea Ripley and an outfit for Ronda Rousey.

Sasha Banks and Sarath Ton Met Each Other in Wrestling

Although Ton's wrestling career was cut short, it brought him the best things in life, including his wife, Banks. The couple met while working for the same wrestling company and dated soon after. As she recalled, Ton took Banks to Pho Mai restaurant for their first date.

After Ton left his job, he followed Banks to pursue her career. He later landed a job with WrestleMania as a designer. Ton and Banks are fortunate to be with each other at work, even on the road, as they work together. Banks said:

"He's my best friend. I can talk to him about anything, and it's so nice to have someone there. You know when you get frustrated or you're upset. It's like you have your companion there to talk to."

Like Ton and Banks, many wrestlers, including Randy Orton, Brock Lesnar, and Jimmy Uso, also have successful marriages. Interestingly, Uso's wife, Trinity Fatu, is a WWE wrestler known for her ring name, Naomi.

The pair tied the knot in 2014 after building their careers as professional wrestlers and entertainers. Besides wrestling, Fatu is also a reality star on "Total Divas" and a dancer. Although Fatu and Uso do not have biological children, they live in marital bliss.
