Hannah Galway's Parents: A Family That Likes to Spend Time Together Outdoors

Hannah Galway's parents have remained a regular feature in her life, supporting her journey in the entertainment industry and fostering a strong family bond.

Hannah Halway is an actress, writer, and producer who started her acting career as Dorothy Stratten in an episode of the TV series "Hollywood Homicide Uncovered."

Three years later, she made her movie debut as Amber on "Project Ithaca." That same year, she ventured into writing and producing the short comedy-drama "Wife Me."

Hannah, a Theatre Performance graduate from Toronto Metropolitan University, has since starred in several series and movies. While at school, the actress born to Jeff W. Galway and Holly Power also received the Jack and Hedda Rothman Award.

When she produced her first short film, it was accepted into several international film festivals making her mother proud of her accomplishments. As of May 2023, the actress has three upcoming projects in production and post-production.

Hannah portrays Tracy Pollan in "Still: A Michael J. Fox Movie," a part documentary, a part scripted film about Michael J. Fox in 2023. She also had a guest starring spot in one episode of the prestige drama "Under the Banner of Heaven" led by Andrew Garfield.

In director Guillermo del Toro's Netflix series, "Guillermo del Toro's Cabinet of Curiosities," she plays Claudette opposite Andrew Lincoln and Essie Davis.

Hannah's father, Jeff, is a partner at one of Canada's top law firms, Blake's. He was ranked in Benchmark Canada's Top 50 Trial Lawyers 2023 and was named Thomson Reuters Stand-out Lawyer 2021.

His daughter followed a different career path, climbing the ranks of Hollywood to be featured in projects on three of the prominent streamers, Netflix, Disney+, and Prime Video.

Jeff was awarded his B Comm degree in 1983 from the Memorial University of Newfoundland in St. John's, Canada. He obtained his Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Toronto's Osgoode Hall Law School in 1986.

Jeff is primarily involved in defending class action lawsuits. The Osgoode alum acted for Labatt Brewing Company Limited defending claims of over one billion Canadian dollars.

The plaintiff's case was dismissed, and he further successfully defended his client at the Ontario Court of Appeal. Although Hannah's father is making waves in his industry, her mother, Holly, is more under the radar. She is featured in some social media posts of her husband and famous daughter but does not have a public social media account.

Hannah Galway's Family Loves Hiking

For an "A Day in The Life" profile, Hannah gave more context to some of her social media photos that she tends to only caption with emojis. "I love hiking!" she exclaims under a snap of her strolling in a forest, posted initially in mid-2020.

The "Cabinet of Curiosities" performer said in the January 2023 profile that she recently moved out on her own near Liberty Village in Toronto:

"It's a pretty fun area, and I'm within walking distance of my sister, which I love."

The "Under the Banner of Heaven" actress was raised in a very active family. Her father only has a handful of posts on his open Instagram account, most of which are of them hiking or spending time outdoors for some other activity like canoeing.

Collin, the star's Portuguese water dog, is also included in many of their activities. The actress jokes that "he is often pretty skeptical," but he looks pleased to be outdoors with the family in the photos. He is a favorite during the clan's morning hikes, even allowing Jeff to take the leash.

Jeff, Hannah, and her sister Sam Galway were a formidable hiking trio in October 2020 when they walked the Rattlesnake Point trail through a carpet of autumn leaves. The trial lawyer made the Bruce Trail at the Limehouse Conservation Area two months before.

In 2020 Hannah's parents rented a cottage in Algonquin Provincial Park in Ontario, Canada. The Galway family and friends had a fun day outdoors as they were blessed with perfect weather.
