Massai Zhivago Dorsey II, one of actress Nia Long's two beloved sons, is gradually gaining public attention as he continues to pursue a career in the world of sports.

Of the two kids, Long's eldest son, Massai Zhivago Dorsey II, is all grown up and is getting more independent than ever. It's uncertain if he will ever follow in his mom's footsteps, but he is sure about one thing: playing baseball.

Massai Zhivago Dorsey Ii Is Nia Long's Eldest Son

Massai Zhivago Dorsey II was born in November 2000 and is Nia Long's son with her ex-fiancé actor Massai Z. Dorsey. Long noted on Instagram that her eldest son's birth was "easy and quick."

Long and her ex-fiancé's son bears a first name derived from African roots. Massai means "owner of land and farms," while "Zhivago" is a unique literary name.

Long had always been open about her experience raising Dorsey II as a single mother. Despite the challenges that came with it, she found joy in being a parent, constantly learning and growing in the process.

When Dorsey II was eight, Long recalled banning him from watching morning TV shows so they could share meaningful conversations. As her son grows up, Long is dedicated to instilling important values in him.

Continuing his athletic journey in college, Dorsey II has become a member of the Eastern Kentucky University baseball team.

She teaches him accountability and responsibility, cultivating a humble and giving heart. Reflecting on her journey, she stated that her son "changed" her.

Massai Zhivago Dorsey II Is Now in College and Plays Baseball

Since childhood, Massai Zhivago Dorsey II has harbored a deep love for baseball. Long has reminded her son of his passion through an Instagram birthday tribute. It read:

"Happy Birthday @massaidorsey treasure this day…this moment…this chapter. I love you. You will always and forever be my Poo Poo."

Long's photo showed a young Dorsey II, dressed in a green jersey shirt and white pants, captured while in mid-throw with a ball in the middle of a baseball match.

Dorsey II joined the Elite Development Invitational baseball youth camp in 2017 as a teenager, making it his stepping stone for a professional baseball career in the future.

He was also part of the 2019 California Baseball Academy USA class and played for the Birmingham High School baseball team. Continuing his athletic journey in college, Dorsey II has become a member of the Eastern Kentucky University baseball team.

Since Dorsey II is not always active on social media, his mom proudly shared this exciting news on her Instagram page, describing him as an "incredible human."

Massai Zhivago Dorsey II's Younger Brother Is Kez Sunday Udoka

Kez Sunday Udoka, the younger brother of Massai Zhivago Dorsey II, was born in November 2011. Long shows the same level of affection to her second-born son as she does to her eldest.

During Udoka's birth, the actress reconciled with her father, leading her to reevaluate various aspects of her life, including her perspective on parenthood. Besides sharing similar features, Udoka inherited his mother's calm and relaxed demeanor.

Long described her son as a "good vibration baby" on his ninth birthday. Udoka is the son of Long and her then-fiancé Ime Udoka, who is a basketball coach for the NBA team Boston Celtics.

While the future of Long's youngest son is uncertain, he seems to learn more about sports or entertainment through his mom and older sibling.

Dorsey II is among the children of celebrities making their name in sports, such as David Beckham's son Romeo Beckham in football and LeBron James's son Bronny James in basketball.
