While not much is known about Jane, Roger has become a celebrity in health and medicine. Roger is an expert in prostate surgery and has been dubbed one of the "Legends of Urology."

Roger is one of the world's leading prostate surgeons and the founder and director of The Prostate Centre, the U.K.'s leading independent center for the care and treatment of prostate-related health issues.

Roger, who grew up in Amersham, Buckinghamshire, earned his bachelor's degree in medical science in 1972, his distinction in surgery in 1975, and his accreditation in Urology in 1986 from the University of Cambridge.

He is also a published author who has written over 60 books and served as the former editor of his own journal, Prostate Cancer and Prostatic Diseases.

Roger is a Urology professor and president of the Royal Society of Medicine. In 2021, Vanessa celebrated her father's success after he was inaugurated as president of the society. He expressed pride in his role and stated:

"What am I most proud of? I suppose the recognition that I have been a competent clinician, surgeon, communicator, and innovator."

He also takes pride in having Jane as his wife, with whom he shares two more children—Jonathan and Juliet—besides Vanessa. All of their kids are professionals in their chosen careers.
