Brad Pitt's sister Julie Pitt Neal lives her life away from the spotlight, unlike her famous actor brother. Julie enjoys her private life in Missouri, but she likes taking adorable pictures of her kids and sharing them on Instagram.

Julie and her husband, Rob Neal, have five kids, twin daughters Rylie and Josie, 25, sons Caleb, 28, Caden, 17, and Cruz, 16. Julie and her husband raise their kids in a strikingly ordinary life in the shadows of the Hollywood spotlight.

Brad's sister is a devoted Christian who described herself on her Instagram bio as a "Lover of Jesus." She has also written on her Instagram bio that she's a wife and mother of five amazing kids. As a Christian, Julie does lots of work in line with her religion.

The mom of five has served as a speaker several times. She was a speaker on "She Is Fearless," a Christian talk series for women, where she spoke about the work God can do through a person who steps out in faith and obeys Him.

Julie is a Christian, and Brad is an atheist but a source revealed that the siblings share similar values because they care about people and want to help, which is evident even in the families they have built and projects they have initiated or supported.

How Are Julie and Brad Similar?

Julie and her husband adopted two of their kids. Their sons Caden and Cruz were born in Ethiopia but live in the US and have gotten used to their lives on a new continent.

Brad's sister raises her adopted kids with love. In 2016, she was photographed taking them to get a haircut in a trendy local barbershop.

Just like his sister, Brad and his ex-wife Angelina Jolie adopted some of their kids. The pair have three adopted kids and three biological ones. Brad and Angelina's adopted kids range in ethnicity and are from Cambodia, Vietnam, and Ethiopia.

Brad's adopted kids are Ethiopian-born Zahara, Cambodian-born Maddox, and Pax, who was born in Vietnam. Having gone down the adoption path before, a source said Brad and Angelina helped Julie with the process of adopting children from another continent.

Brad's sister is also the director of the "I Pour Life" charity, which started in 2011. This charity teaches people to be self-sufficient by running their own businesses, such as raising chickens.

The insider said Brad, Angelina, and Julie are from the mid-west, a place where it's uncommon to see white parents fostering or adopting children of different ethnicities. "They hasn't fazed Julie or Brad one iota, of course. Their adopted children are just as much part of their families as their biological children[sic]," the source explained.

Aside from their family lives, Brad and Julie understand that they are in a privileged position and use their resources and connections to carry out charitable work worldwide. The siblings have set up charity organizations and campaigned for various humanitarian causes.

What Is Brad Pitt's Sister's Occupation?

Julie is a part-time preschool teacher and a teacher of God's word, but mostly, she serves God through the charity work she does. In 2018, she partnered with "Christian Life Assembly" to teach God's work and dig a well for a village in Ethiopia with no clean water.

Julie said that when she visited her adopted son Cruz's village of Chuku Wayama in Ethiopia, she saw many people fetching water from dirty sources. As per Julie, many people, including children, died in this Ethiopian village from waterborne diseases.

Julie's daughter Josie added that if her parents hadn't adopted Cruz, they don't think he would have survived there. Josie said Cruz was adopted at six months old and was a cute baby, but he was unwell:

"When we adopted Cruz, he had parasites, and he was sick all the time, and he was so sick, and he wasn't even in his village for that long, and he had this disease from just a short amount of time."

These deaths and lack of clean water pushed Julie to launch the charity "Digg Deep" and partner with "World Serve," an international organization, to raise funds to bring clean water to places such as the Ethiopian village, where there was still very little access.

Julie said she strongly believed that everyone needs clean water. Her charitable project was successful as it raised $200,000, and Julie and her family inaugurated clean water in the Ethiopian village. The people came to celebrate and were so excited to finally have clean water.

Brad's sister is also the director of the "I Pour Life" charity, which started in 2011. This charity teaches people to be self-sufficient by running their own businesses, such as raising chickens. In the US, the charity focuses on teaching people how to get jobs and manage finances.

"I Pour Life" operates in El Salvador, too, where it runs self-hep projects. In Korah, the charity helped women living with diseases such as Leprosy and HIV learn a trade so that they can support themselves.

Brad and his ex-wife also have charity projects running in Ethiopia and Cambodia. Julie and her sibling strive to help people. However, Julie and Brad are rarely seen together as the two lead different lives in terms of privacy.

Why Doesn't Julie Appear in Photos with Her Brother?

Julie tries her best to keep her family private. She ensures their lives are as normal as possible by not including Brad in family pictures that she shares online. Some of the recent family pictures Julie's daughter Josie shared include the sibling's parents, but Julie didn't tag Brad or share any picture he was in.

When Julie shared pictures of her and Brad's mother's 80th birthday, the actor was nowhere to be seen in the photos. Julie said her kid's grandmother's birthday wasn't a simple affair when she shared the pictures of the whole family in themed T-shirts.

The family headed to Santa Barbara, California, to celebrate their grandmother's birthday. As much as Brad may not have missed his mother's big day, the photos Julie shared didn't show the actor anywhere. Even on Mother's Day, when Julie, her husband, kids, and parents took an adorable picture, Brad was absent.

Julie doesn't share Brad's pictures on her social media, but that doesn't necessarily mean that the siblings are not close. Brad's brother, Douglas, also doesn't associate publicly with the actor. Brad's siblings may have chosen not to post their brother so as not to bring Hollywood's attention to themselves.
