Patrick Dempsey & Wife Jillian Fink Celebrate 24th Anniversary after Almost Divorcing in 2015

Eight years after filing for divorce, Patrick Dempsey and Jillian Fink are celebrating a milestone in their married life. The Hollywood star commemorated the special day on Instagram, sharing a photo with his loving wife.

Patrick Dempsey and Jillian Fink are one of Hollywood's long-lasting couples celebrating their 24th anniversary this year.

However, their marriage wasn't without challenges. Recently, Dempsey paid tribute to his wife on Instagram with a short but sweet post.

"What an amazing path we have been on," he wrote. "[I] love you." The "Grey's Anatomy" star's post came with a selfie with his wife during a mountain hike.

Fink was working as a hairdresser when she met Dempsey in her salon. It was a random day in 1994, and she didn't think he would walk through the door for a haircut. "I was shocked," she recalled. "But at the same time, I was happy because he was so cute."

Fink has since made a name for herself in the beauty industry. She became a makeup artist for 30 years, started two beauty brands, and became Avon's global color creative director. Her first makeup brand was Delux Beauty, and in 2014, she launched her namesake brand.

However, behind the scenes, things weren't going as she wanted. Jillian Fink would go home to a marriage that was falling apart. In 2015, things took a turn for the worst when she filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences.

However, Dempsey was not ready to go down without a fight. He wanted to fix his marriage of then-15 years. He said:

"Our marriage was not something I was prepared to let go of. I didn't feel like we had done all the work, and we both wanted to do that work. That's where it started."

Dempsey and Fink slowly worked on reconciling and sought help from a professional. Fortunately, they found a dynamic that worked for their union.

The couple are proud parents to three children, Talulah Dempsey, Darby Galen Dempsey, and Sullivan Patrick Dempsey.
