Fitness trainer David Higgins played a crucial role in sculpting Ryan Gosling's abs, who portrayed the character Ken. Higgins worked closely with the "Barbie" cast, including Margot Robbie, to ensure they achieved their desired physical transformation.

Higgins, a London-based fitness trainer, instructed the cast to begin every workout by engaging their core muscles. He emphasized building core strength through exercises such as planks and a 9-minute circuit.

The atmosphere during that period was collaborative and fun, with not only the actors but also the film's director, Greta Gerwig, and other producers joining in the fitness routines. Some exercises they engaged in included aerobics and pilates, contributing to a positive and health-focused environment on the movie set.

Higgins disclosed that among the cast members, Robbie was the plank champion. She impressed everyone by holding a plank for 4 minutes and 10 seconds, showcasing her remarkable core strength and determination during the workout sessions.

On July 14, Higgins shared a post expressing his thoughts about working with the cast. He shared a video of "Barbie" cast alongside a captivating caption stating that the cast made his spring/summer of 2022 memorable.

The London-based trainer also expressed pride in contributing to the film, recognizing his impact in some capacity. He concluded his post by expressing his deep appreciation and gratitude to everyone involved in making the movie, acknowledging the collaborative effort and togetherness that made the experience truly special.

During an interview, Gosling humorously addressed the attention his teaser photo showing his abs received online. When asked about the image potentially "breaking the internet," the 42-year-old actor playfully responded, stating that the internet had been trying to break him for years, adding that it gave him no other choice.

Gosling expressed his excitement about the positive response to the photo and the enthusiasm surrounding "Barbie." He mentioned they had a great time making the film and seeing everyone else having fun with the teaser added to the enjoyment.

In addition to their workout routines, the "Barbie" cast also prioritized skincare with the help of Jasmina Vico, a renowned London-based skincare expert. Vico, whose clients include actress Jodie Comer, had the opportunity to add the "Barbie" cast to her impressive work portfolio.

Collaborating closely with the film's makeup artist, Ivana Primorac, Vico helped the cast achieve the flawless skin results required for the movie's desired look.
