Marie Osmond Revisits Welcoming Her Son Back Home from His Mission

Recently multifaceted artist Marie Osmond fondly recalled the homecoming of her son from his mission. She took to Instagram to share throwback photos of the cherished day. In the first slide, Marie Osmond's son stands beside his mother as they pose for a photo.

On Sunday, Marie Osmond took a trip down memory lane by sharing sweet throwback pictures of her son's homecoming in January 2020. The photos captured heartwarming moments of Marie and her family members at the airport, eagerly welcoming her son Matthew back from his mission in Michigan.

The first slide captures the singer, actress, and TV host standing beside her son and holding two signs written, "BEST DAY EVER" and "I GET FIRST HUGS."

On Osmond's website, she also wrote a letter to her son that served as a touching tribute to the special moment they shared during his homecoming. In the letter, Osmond recalled the emotional experience of welcoming Matthew at the airport and expressing her immense pride in Matthew's accomplishments.

Marie Osmond's son celebrated his birthday on July 6, and his mother took to her Instagram page to pay him a sweet tribute. She wrote:

"Happy Birthday to my incredible son Matthew!!!🎈🎉🎂 I could not be more proud of the man you are.🥰 Thank you for being with me on a trip of a lifetime. I love you with all of my heart.💕💖❌⭕️❌⭕️"

The close bond between Osmond and her son shines through in her social media posts. Their strong relationship is evident as they spend quality time together and occasionally embark on trips to explore touristic destinations, creating cherished memories as a mother-son duo.

Osmond is a mom of eight children. She shares her first child, Stephen Jr, with her first husband, Stephen Craig Sr, whom she divorced in 1989 but later remarried in 2011, over two decades after their initial separation.

Following her first divorce, the singer and TV personality found love again and tied the knot with Brian Blosil. The two were married for over two decades and share seven children: Rachel, Jessica, Brianna, Brandon, Matthew, Abigail, and Michael. Unfortunately, her son Michael passed away in 2020 at aged 18 through suicide after struggling with depression.
