'Sexist and gross' jokes about Dolly Parton's breasts attracted backlash for 'Today' hosts

“Today” show hosts Tom Steinfort and Tony Jones infuriated viewers with “sexist” comments about Dolly Parton’s breasts during her performance at the Grammy’s on Sunday.

The Channel Nice breakfast program faced a difficult few months as numerous big names in the program left the show. Now ”Today” is in the spotlight again due to the backlash following Tony and Tom’s comments.

During the 61st Annual Grammy Awards, Dolly Parton got honored with the prestigious MusiCares Person of the Year award and performed her 1974 classic hit, “Jolene” with goddaughter Miley Cyrus.

But before the panel could discuss anything relating to Dolly’s achievements, Tom Steinfort remarked, “She is age defying and gravity-defying.”

Somewhat taken aback, the entertainment reporter Brooke Boney responded, “I beg your pardon! Tom Steinfort!” Tony Jones, unable to refrain from comment added:

“Seeing those two on stage, I thought, was fantastic… and Miley of course.”

Steve Jacobs, the weatherman couldn’t help but laugh, but Brooke quickly retorted:

“Too many boys. See what happens when we get them together.”

Georgie Gardner’s body language mirrored the uncomfortable air in the room and added:

“There we go, there we go! It’s a dysfunctional family at work. Let’s get someone to save us. Deb, over to you.”

Viewers wasted no time criticizing the hosts while others suggested that Dolly in fact, likes the jokes about her ample assets as one person wrote:

Liam’s Hemsworth couldn’t help but comment on how his wife, Miley Cyrus looked during the Grammy Awards ceremony as well.

For the occasion, Miley wore a sequined black mini dress by Maison Francesco Scognamiglio which she paired with Public Desire strappy vegan leather heels, and her hard to miss and beautiful engagement ring.

Dolly’s goddaughter, Miley shared some pictures of her ensemble on Instagram and Liam was quick to comment, “Good god.”

Liam did not attend the 61st Annual Grammy Awards ceremony with Miley as he reportedly spent Saturday night in the hospital. On Sunday the actor was absent from the press promotion for his soon to be released movie, “Isn’t it Romantic” as well.

Co-stars who were present at the promotional press day were Adam DeVine, Priyanka Chopra, and Rebel Wilson. When asked about Hemsworth, Wilson replied:

"He’s texted us this morning. He was in hospital overnight, so hopefully, he will be fine."

No further information regarding Liam’s reason for being hospitalized has been made available as of yet.
