Ron Isley's 35 Years Younger Wife on What's Tough About Raising a 6th-Grader

Ron Isley’s wife Kandy Johnson-Isley opened up about the difficulties in raising an 11-year-old sixth grader.

Music icon 77-year-old Ron Isley has a wife who is 35 years younger than he is, and they share a young son who is just 11.

Ron is an experienced dad with two grown-up daughters, but Kandy Johnson-Isley has only one child, Ron Jr. and is going through separation anxiety as she watches her little boy grow up.

Kandy, 42, recently posted an adorable photo on Instagram showing her handsome young son.

The proud mom revealed that Ron Jr was on his way to his 6th grade camp, and that it would be the first time he was away from his parents.

"My baby headed to 6th grade camp for the next 3 days. ?This will be the first time away from us with No phones allowed ?? Letting go is tough man ?#6thgrader #ronaldisleyjr #haveafunsafetrip #ilovemyson," wrote Kandy.

MOM'S SEPARATION ANXIETY

Of course, Kandy's reaction is quite natural and very familiar to every parent who has suddenly realized their baby boy or girl is growing up much too fast - and the next step is college.

Ron, who was previously married to singer Angela Winbush, has two grown-up daughters, Tawanna, and Trenisha from previous relationships.

Kandy is particularly close to Ron Jr, whom she raised on her own until he was three years old.

Unfortunately, Ron Sr. was sentenced to 3 years in prison for tax evasion when Kandy was pregnant, and the first time mom was left all alone with a baby son.

RON ISLEY'S STINT IN JAIL

Ron Sr is better-prepared o be away from his son than his wife, since he was convicted of tax evasion in 2006, after having withheld over $300,000,00 in taxes from the federal government.

Ron was released in 2010 and has since been inseparable from his lovely young wife and son.

Music legend Ron Isley stunned his fans when he married background singer Kandy Johnson in 2005 in London.

There was some speculation at the time due to the considerable age difference between the newly-weds: Ron was 64, while Kandy was just 28.

But the adoring couple has proved their ill-wishers wrong, and are as in love now as they ever were, after 14 years of marriage and a lot of trials, such as Ron's jail stint to test the solidity of their bond.
