Jennifer Hudson from “Cats” Delivered Emotional Performance in Honor of Kobe Bryant at NBA All-Star Game
Jennifer Hudson paid tribute to the late Kobe Bryant during the 2020 NBA All-Star Game with an emotional rendition of "For All We Know."
On January 26, 2019, the world lost a basketball legend, an inspiration, and a beloved member of the Los Angeles Lakers.
Kobe Bryant, along with his daughter Gianna and seven other passengers, died in a helicopter crash that saw no survivors.

While weeks have passed, many still pay tribute to the NBA champ, including Jennifer Hudson, who gave an emotional performance at this year's All-Star Game in honor of Bryant.
HUDSON'S EMOTIONAL TRIBUTE
The singer stood before the United Center, Chicago audience and delivered a heartfelt performance of "For All We Know," that included clips of Bryant's career and life on a big screen.
Many who were still grieving the pain of the departed were moved by the song and recalled the greatness and inspiration the athlete brought to the NBA and people across the globe.
NBA icon Magic Johnson spoke before Hudson took the stage to thank the late NBA commissioner David Stern for his support and applauded the "Black Mamba's" love for the game. Before asking for eight seconds of silence, he said:
"We need to embrace each other, come together, love each other."

ALL-STAR GAME FOR KOBE
The All-Star Game itself honored Bryant and Gianna with two teams named after the late father-daughter duo, who both shared the same love for the game.
While many were shocked at the death of Bryant and his daughter, his family took comfort in knowing that they received Holy Communion before joining the creator.
Team LeBron James will wear the number 2, while Team Giannis Antetokounmpo will sport the number 24. Additionally, the first three quarters of the game will begin with a 0-0 score of 12 minutes long.

The fourth quarter will begin with the Final Target Score, determined by the leading team's cumulative score in the first three quarters and will be added 24 points.
To honor the NBA superstar, the final quarter will also be aired with no commercials, as to enjoy the game with no interruptions.

BRYANT DIES IN HELICOPTER CRASH
Bryant and Gianna lost their lives in a helicopter crash over Calabasas, leaving behind his wife Vanessa and their kids Natalia, Bianka, and Capri.
Before boarding the S-76 Sikorsky helicopter en route to Thousand Oaks, the father-daughter-duo attended mass at the Our Lady Queen Church.
While many were shocked at the death of Bryant and his daughter, his family took comfort in knowing that they received Holy Communion before joining the creator.
Parishioners of the Our Lady of the Angels have been in support of Vanessa and the Bryant family at their time of trial and grief.
