LL Cool J's Grown-Up Daughters Take Part in TikTok Dance Challenge in New Video
The Smith sisters really know how to keep things interesting during these times of quarantine, and they have taken to dancing to keep the spirits high during this difficult moment for humanity.
49-year-old entrepreneur Simone L. Smith, the long time wife of the 52-year-old rapper and actor LL Cool J, was surprised by the energy and talent of the three grown daughters she shares with the “NCIS: LA” star.
On March 19, Simone took to her Instagram feed to share a TikTok video featuring Italia, 29, Samaria, 24, and Nina,19, doing a choreography at the family’s home, drawing positive reactions from her many fans and followers.
“Ok so I’ve been hearing this 20 second tune over and over again for the last 2 hours. I came downstairs to this! AYEEEEEEEE get it girls!!!! Tik Tok ya don’t stop!!!” the jewel designer captioned the clip.
With more and more people (everyone should be doing it) is withdrawing to their homes to isolate with their loved ones while the Covid-19 crisis strikes, social media is becoming an even more important place to entertain ourselves.
“The current situation in my home.... They even tried to bring Hubby in on it,” a user that related to Simone’s post wrote in the comments section of the post.
FOLLOWING HER FATHER’S STEPS
LL Cool J and Simone’s youngest child, who can be seen taking the lead while dancing with her sisters in the TikTok challenge (she shared the video in her Instagram feed as well), recently launched her music career as Nina Bandzz.
Nina released her first single “Call Me” early in August 2019 to mark her 19th birthday, accompanying it with a promotional music video.
A CLOSE-KNIT FAMILY
LL Cool J and Simone have been married since 1995, previously spending 8 years as boyfriend-girlfriend in a romance that started back in the late eighties when the two where teenagers.
In the nearly 25 years they have been married, the two have proudly seen their four children (they have a son, Najee, that is 30 years old) grow and become their own selves, but they have also endured their share of difficulties.
In 2004, the family was devastated to learn about Simone’s stage 3 bone cancer diagnosis, but with the support of every one of them, the family matriarch overcame the illness after two and a half years and much will and rehabilitation.
“You don’t abandon someone in that fox hole. You gotta be there in that fox hole with them,” LL Cool J told Oprah Winfrey about the health scare back then.
