Cassidy Gifford Shares Childhood Throwback Photo with Her Late Father

Cassidy Gifford, the daughter of former football player Frank Gifford recently posted a throwback snapshot of her young self with her mom Kathie Lee Gifford and late dad.

The image with no caption and only a black heart emoji shows little Cassidy and her sibling hanging on to swings with their parents holding them.

Cassidy and her family were all smiles in the photo, with her wearing coordinating color outfits with her mother. She wore a red floral dress with stockings, while her mom wore a long-sleeved shirt paired with jeans.

Cassidy's father wore matching coordinated attires with his son as they spotted dark-colored tops as the young boy wore a black sweater and his dad a navy-blue jacket.

While paying tribute to her dad, her followers took to the comments section to remember him as well. One person said their parent loved Cassidy's father and was a "Big Giants" fan.

Another commented, "I was excited to see your dad on a "Hazel" re-run recently; he was so handsome!! while adding a heart emoji.

Back in September 2020, Cassidy also paid homage to her husband Ben Wierda on his 30th birthday celebration. She took to social media and penned a loving message sharing silly images of Wierda.

“Getting to love you and be loved by you is by far the greatest blessing of my life,” the 27-year-old wrote about her spouse adding, “Happy new decade, baby! May this next 30 abound with family, friends, laughter, and slightly looser pants."

The pair walked down the aisle in June 2020 in a private ceremony in Michigan. “Ben and Cassidy got married in an intimate setting in his backyard,” the family said in a statement.

They shared the newlyweds are planning on having a bigger ceremony in the future once it is safe to do so because of the ongoing pandemic.

Meanwhile, her parents were married for decades, and their marriage had its fair share of ups and downs. The TV show co-host and the late TV sports commentator started dating in the mid-1980s.

They met on the set of the morning news show and immediately connected, and it was love at first sight for Kathie. The star got candid about how Frank proposed to her during an episode of “Kathie Lee and Hoda” and said they were in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

The couple tied the knot on October 18, 1986, in a romantic beach setting in Bridgehampton, New York. The 67-year-old was previously married to former husband Paul Johnson from 1976 to 1983.
