'The Real' Co-Host Jeannie Mai Officially Dating Rapper Jeezy after Freddy Harteis Divorce: Report

Almost a year after her divorce, Jeannie Mai has found love again in the arms of Atlanta rapper Jeezy. The couple made their official debut at an event last week.

Mai, 40, and Jeezy, 41, stepped out for the rapper’s inaugural SnoBall Gala in Georgia, PEOPLE reported.

Jeezy, who is also an entrepreneur and philanthropist, hosted the SnoBall Gala to raise funds for his non-profit, Street Dreamz. A rep for the rapper shared details with the magazine about Mai and Jeezy’s outing:

“The couple walked into the event arm-in-arm and were all smiles through the night.”

A COUPLE THAT SLAYS TOGETHER

“The Real” co-host was reportedly in the audience supporting her man as he received his second Phoenix Award for his contributions to Atlanta’s youth and also celebrated the release of his latest album “TM 104: Legend of the Snowman.”

For the event, Mai stunned in a glittering white dress with thigh-high slit while Jeezy (real name Jay Wayne Jenkins) looked dapper in a black-and-white bowtie suit.

INITIAL SPECULATIONS

Rumors that Mai and Jeezy were dating first surfaced in January when Malika Haqq shared a group photo with them alongside herself and her boyfriend with Trey Songz and Lori Harvey.

Mai quickly responded to the speculations on an episode of “The Real,” confirming that the rapper holds a special place in her heart.

MAI'S RESPONSE

“Jeezy and I hang out,” she said. “He’s very special to me, so we don’t really have a label to define what it is we’re doing. We’re just having a good time together.”

“I promise you that when there is that one special boo, you will be the first to know from me,” she added.

MOVING ON

Jeezy is the first person Mai is publicly dating after her 2018 divorce from Freddy Harteis who she was married to for ten years.

The former couple announced they were divorcing in October 2017 and six months later, Harteis revealed he was expecting a baby with his girlfriend, Linsey Toole. Harteis and Toole welcomed their daughter, Emersyn Rose, last year and are now expecting another child, a son.

It’s good to see Mai giving love a second chance after going through a “dark” divorce.
