Gabourey Sidibe is a vision of colors in recent photos where she showed off her slimmer figure in a floral dress and yellow heels.

Sidibe has become known as much for her bold fashion choices as for her acting prowess.

The "Empire" star took to Instagram hours ago with pictures of an African-print floral dress. She made good use of a thigh-high slit on the yellow-and-red outfit, flaunting her legs and yellow heels.

Sidibe accessorized with drop earrings and a necklace and added a fancy touch with lacy gloves and a dotted fascinator.

"People have been saying, 'Congratulations on your weight loss!' It doesn’t rock me. It just annoys me"

"So sorry to hear of your great-granddaddy’s passing," she hilariously captioned one snapshot. "Might I have a copy of the certificate? I need it for the policy I took out on him."

A second picture of the dress featured Sidibe’s "Empire" co-star Ta'Rhonda Jones. Both actresses were seated together at an event. "On the way to the reading of our Sugar Daddys will," Sidibe captioned the shot, once again resorting to humor.

Sidibe, 36, is fast becoming the ultimate weight-loss inspiration, and her Instagram pictures are proof. According to Style Craze, the "Precious" star once weighed 300 pounds and managed to lose about half of it.

GETTING SURGERY

In 2016, Sidibe underwent laparoscopic gastric bypass, a surgery that reportedly reduces the amount of food a person’s stomach takes in.

Sidibe decided to have the surgery, not because of all the hateful comments about her weight, but because of a Type 2 diabetes diagnosis.

THE "WHY"

She told PEOPLE:

"I just didn’t want to worry. I truly didn’t want to worry about all the effects that go along with diabetes. I genuinely [would] worry all the time about losing my toes."

POST-SURGERY LIFE

After losing a ton of weight with surgery, however, Sidibe had to maintain it with a series of lifestyle changes.

"I use meal plans that are really, really good, especially for when I’m busy. I cook a lot more. I talk to my nutritionist a lot," she told the outlet about her new diet regimen.

According to Style Craze, Sidibe also had to ditch fizzy drinks and junk food, as well as reduce her overall salt and sugar intake.

FITNESS COMMITMENT

The Oscar nominee further revealed she’s been working out a lot:

"I work out with my trainer three to four days a week. If I’m not working out with a trainer, I get up, and I go swim. …I’m as active as I can be, which is actually quite a lot. I have an Apple Watch that tracks me all the time. I have a tricycle at my house in L.A.; I also have a tricycle on set in Chicago."

THE ONE THING SHE DOESN'T LIKE

Despite being open about her weight loss journey, Sidibe does not like people complimenting her on the feat.

"People have been saying, 'Congratulations on your weight loss!' It doesn’t rock me. It just annoys me because I’m just like, 'don’t congratulate me on that,'" she told Refinery29 two years ago.

"If you’re going to congratulate me on my weight loss, also congratulate me every time I pee. Congratulate me every time I’m burping," she added.
