Barack Obama Recalls How He Came to Chicago in His 20s as He Shares Throwback Pic with Michelle
Barack Obama took a trip down memory lane to the first time he came to Chicago, and the former president did it with a throwback photo of his Southside queen, Michelle Obama.
Barack and Michelle have been married for nearly three decades, but these two still make us wonder if they’re newlyweds.
Ahead of the Obama Foundation Summit, which kicked off on Tuesday in Chicago, the former POTUS shared a throwback picture of himself and Michelle cuddling on a sofa.

"I came to Chicago in my 20s, still trying to figure out who I was," Barack captioned the post, adding:
"It was there that I found my community and my purpose. Excited to be back here for the @ObamaFoundation Summit to hear some remarkable stories from folks around the world—and share my own."
During their time in office and even afterward, Barack, 58, and Michelle, 55, have never hesitated to express their love for each other.

Earlier this month, the lovebirds celebrated their 27th wedding anniversary with gushing social media posts, the likes of which are often attributed to new lovers.
Per PEOPLE, Barack and Michelle shared never-before-seen photos of each other to commemorate their special day.
"Like the Beatles said: It’s getting better all the time," Barack penned alongside a photo of the pair watching the sunrise on an open field in Tanzania. "Thanks, babe, for 27 amazing years!"
Michelle reciprocated with another happy photo of the couple standing on a porch overlooking a marina in Martha’s Vineyard and wrote:
"27 years ago, this guy promised me a life full of adventure. I’d say he’s delivered. Here’s to our next chapter of becoming empty nesters and discovering what’s next—while still feeling the magic that brought us together all those years ago. Happy anniversary, Barack."
Back in January, when Michelle turned 55, Barack also made it clear that he doesn’t regret the decision to become her husband.
"I knew it way back then, and I’m absolutely convinced of it today – you’re one of a kind, [Michelle Obama]," he gushed alongside another throwback pic of the much-younger couple.
Barack and Michelle tied the knot on October 3, 1992, after three years of dating. Per PEOPLE, the duo first met at a Chicago law firm where Michelle was assigned to mentor Barack, who was at the time a summer associate.
