Riki Lindhome Gives 'Laura Palmer Vibes' with Her Throwback Photo from Her Teens
Although Riki Lindhome is commonly known for her role in "Wednesday," it is not the only successful acting credit she has to her name. Lindhome was already in her twenties when she landed her first film role but gave fans a glimpse of her as a teenager in a recent Instagram post.
On March 23, Lindhome took a trip down memory lane and shared a picture of herself from high school. The younger version of the actress wore her curls loosely down her back and paired an off-the-shoulders black top with a pearl necklace.
As a teenage Lindhome softly smiled into the camera, the post was humorously captioned, "Not sure if I was going for smug or vacant. Maybe both? #tbt." The Instagram post received nearly 13, 000 likes at the time of writing, with one fan commenting, "Laura Palmer vibes."
Another fan shared, "Extraordinary, fantastic, mind-blowing (sic)," and a different user added, "Omg, look at that ANGEL." A fourth person humorously typed, "Would you want to go to prom with me?" Lindhome was born in Coudersport, Pennsylvania but spent most of her childhood in Portville, New York, around 80 miles south of Buffalo.
She kickstarted her acting career in theatre when she landed a part in actor and director Tim Robbins' hit play, "Embedded." In 2004, actor and director Clint Eastwood cast Lindhome in his widely successful film "Million Dollar Baby," where she played Mardell Fitzgerald in her first film.
Over the years, Lindhome has appeared in several acting projects and wrote and directed the award-winning short "Life Is Short" in 2006. She is also one half of the LA-based comedy duo Garfunkel & Oates with Kate Micucci.
Lindhome also landed a small role alongside Mayim Bialik and Jim Parsons in "The Big Bang Theory" in the show's second season, where she played Ramona Nowitzki. The actress left an impression on the showrunners, as they brought her back to the series years later. Lindhome appeared on "The Big Bang Theory" for its season ten finale and co-wrote one of its songs.
Aside from landing the role as Dr. Valerie Kinbott in "Wednesday" in 2022, Lindhome recently landed a new role in the Blumhouse Productions horror film "They Listen." Blumhouse Productions also brought fans "Get Out" and "M3GAN."
While the movie's plot is still under wraps, Riki Lindhome is set to share the screen with John Cho from "Star Trek" and Katherine Waterston from "Fantastic Beasts."
