Ellen Barkin of 'Animal Kingdom' Slams TI's Statement about Daughter Deyjah's Gynecologist Visits

Ellen Barkin slammed T.I. on Twitter following his reveal about what goes on at his daughter's gynecology visits, and the role he plays.
The internet never forgets, and words spoken on-air cannot be taken back. This explains why Ellen Barkin wasted no time in slamming rapper, T.I. for the things he said publicly about his daughter, Deyjah Harris' visits to the gynecologist.

HYMEN CAN GET BROKEN AT ANYTIME
The rapper revealed while appearing on the podcast "Ladies Like Us" with Nazanin Nandi, and Nadia Moham, that he follows his daughter to the gynecologist yearly to ensure that her hymen is intact.
In a tweet, the "Animal Kingdom" actress expressed her displeasure, and in a not-so-subtle manner, informed T.I that the hymen can get broken at any time.

The discussion about the "Blurred Lines" crooner's daughter's gynecologist visits stemmed from the topic of strict parenting.
The rapper, who shares Deyjah with his ex, Ms. Niko, told the podcast hosts that the tradition started when his oldest daughter turned 16.
DEYJAH GRANTED T.I. MEDICAL ACCESS
He explained that after her birthday party, he left a sticky note on her door informing her of their trip to the gynecologist.
At the doctor's office, the dad-of-seven made the teenager sign a document granting him access to her medical records after he asked her if she had anything to hide.

The "Rhythm + Flow" judge noted that the doctor informed him that activities like active sports, horseback riding, or riding on motorcycles could equally break the hymen.
Still, he refuted them as his daughter does not engage in any of those activities. After giving his narrative, T.I proudly declared to Nandi and Moham,
"I will say that as of her 18th birthday, her hymen is still intact."
DIFFERENT RULES FOR BOYS AND GIRLS
Although the reveal has led to a significant backlash against the rapper, with one Twitter user dubbing him as misogynistic, and calling the visits, atrocious, he believes that he is in the right in his parenting style.
He told the podcast hosts that when children are older, they look back in hindsight, and thank their parents for not letting them "Damage themselves" as much as they would have.

Interestingly, it seems T.I.'s strict parenting only applies to his female children. Last season of "T.I. and Tiny: Family and Friends Hustle," showed that his 15-year-old son, King, whom he shares with wife, Tiny, and who is still in high school, is already sexually active.
It appears that the rap star is more interested in protecting his girls, but whether or not his female children appreciate the gesture will get revealed with time.
